Great sailing experience! Very peaceful cruising outside of Cartagena with knowledgeable captain who knows the area well.
A sailing trip among friends. On our cruise we made a day stop in Cartagena. On this day in February it was very hot in Cartagena. Therefore we were looking forward to a refreshing sailing tour with Rob and his trimaran. We were very friendly welcomed by Rob at the sailing harbour in Cartagena. He rowed us individually from the harbour edge with his dinghy to his trimaran. Already that was a funny foretaste of what awaited us. Despite our somewhat shortened stay, we had to return to the cruise ship a little earlier than previously announced, Rob had no qualms about bringing us back in time. We felt very safe with Rob at all times. He showed us the most important sailing manoeuvres and the behaviour on board with a lot of fun. Already in the sailing harbour Rob gave us the instructions to steer his trimaran. A very unique experience to steer such a trimaran as an absolute beginner. Approximately after half of the sailing tour we anchored in a small bay and could snorkel a little in the Caribbean Sea. Rob prepared us a simple but delicious lunch, which we enjoyed very much. On the way back Rob really let his trimaran fly. We were close to the wind and had so much fun. We even made up some time, so that we reached our cruise ship more than in time. It was such a great trip and we said goodbye to Rob as friends. When we are in Cartegena again, we will definitely do a longer trip with Rob. An absolute recommendation for all who want to experience a unique sailing trip and not necessarily a tourist trip.
We had an excellent time sailing with Rob!! A very relaxing and scenic route. He is an experienced sailor and very knowledgeable about the area. Makes a mean hummus!
This 2 day/1 night trip was the highlight of my wife and I's vacation. Rob was an experienced and amiable captain who made us feel like we were old friends. The sailing itself was fantastic in spite of little wind, given the trimaran capabilities, and the location we sailed to breath taking. We will cherish this memory for years to come and have enjoyed relaying the highlights to our friends and family. If you have the opportunity to sail with Rob you absolutely MUST!
