Skadar Lake is the largest lake in the Balkan Peninsula with a surface area that seasonally fluctuates between 370 km2 (140 sq mi) to 530 km2 (200 sq mi). Skadar Lake itself is located on the western Balkan with approximately two-third (229 km2 (88 sq mi)) of its surface belonging to Montenegro and about one-third (142 km2 (55 sq mi)) to Albania. The lake’s water level also varies seasonally from 4.7 to 9.8 m above sea level. The lake extends in the NW-SE direction, and it is approximately 44 km long. We arrange different trips on our beautiful cruise like: - LAKE SKADAR BOAT TRIPS - BIRDWATCH TOURS - PRIVATE CRUISE ADVENTURE Price is for 2 guests for the 5 hour trip plus tickets for the entrance on the lake.

Today we, my wife and I and our kids aged 15 and 13, had a wonderful 3 hour tour of the lake with Golden Frog, hosted and guided by the excellent Ivana. She made every effort to personalise the tour information for each member of our family covering all kinds of topics from wildlife, the environment, politics and history. Ivana’s English was excellent, her knowledge was very broad and she was passionate about everything. She (and the Captain) knew where to find the wildlife and we spotted a very wide range of birds. The boat was comfortable and included basic refreshments - including a delicious water melon, local wine and soft drinks. I highly recommend this tour to any travellers visiting the lake. 😀

After reading many many reviews we booked a private boat tour with the Golden Frog to discover the Skadar lake. A beautiful and calm place. It was amazing! Ivana really knows a lot about the nature and wildlife around this area. She's a very communicative, positive and welcoming person and her English is absolutely perfect. It's an honest family business which I can highly recommend.
👉🏿Price is 47e for 1 hour for 2 to 5 of you (not per person ) + 5 euros per person tickets - you need to then buy in order to enter the national park ( adults and kids above 15 years) These are the terms regarding the private trip arrangement. We can stay as long as you like, but bare in mind that 1h is a minimum☝🏽 if there is more than 5 of you, please let us know so we can give you better offer. We can also have a swimming break on the lake. If you don't mind sharing the boat with other people, price shall be lower. In case you don't want to share the boar with others the price remains as aforementioned. Be careful while driving in to the town, at the entrance people will stop you and offer a boat ride, so you can either park at market VOLI or drive in the village and find a parking space ( free of charge) •Meeting point is in Virpazar village. I will wait for you under hotel deAndros, then on the right you will see a little wooden dock Golden Frogs flags and our wooden boats, you cannot miss us.•
You’ll get directions to the departure location when you make a booking.
Free cancellation up to 5 days before your trip.
