When doing the downriver paddle you will leave from Slippery Creek and head toward Hingaia.  The trip is leisurely and winds through lowland swamp and then estuarine waters.  The final stretch of water under the bridge can be swift and will add excitement to the final part of the journey.  The waters are working waters, and you will see birds busily fishing, and the odd fisherman on the way.
