Rental Terms & Policies Weather Policy: Safety is our top priority. In the event of unsafe weather conditions (high winds, severe storms, or other conditions deemed unsafe by the captain), the charter may be rescheduled or a refund will be issued at the owner's discretion. Light rain or cloudy conditions do not qualify for cancellation. Arrival & Check-In: Please arrive 15–20 minutes before your scheduled departure time. Upon arrival at the marina, proceed to Gate F, where the captain will meet you and escort you to the yacht. Late Arrivals & No-Shows: Your charter time begins at the scheduled booking time. Late arrivals will not receive additional time, and no-shows are non-refundable. Guest Conduct: Guests are expected to act responsibly and follow all instructions from the captain. Excessive intoxication, unsafe behavior, or failure to comply with safety guidelines may result in the charter being terminated without refund. Safety Requirements: The captain reserves the right to refuse boarding to any guest who appears excessively intoxicated or poses a safety risk. Life jackets and all required safety equipment are provided onboard. Food & Beverages: Guests are welcome to bring food and beverages. Please help keep the yacht clean and dispose of trash properly. Red wine, glass containers, and staining foods may be restricted. Damage Policy: The renter is responsible for any damage caused by guests beyond normal wear and tear. Repair or cleaning fees may apply if necessary. Smoking & Drugs: Smoking is permitted only in designated areas as approved by the captain. Illegal drugs are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination of the charter without refund. Captain's Authority: The captain has final authority regarding vessel operations, route changes, weather-related decisions, and onboard safety matters. Chicago Playpen & Lake Michigan Charters: Routes, destinations, and anchoring locations are subject to weather, lake conditions, and harbor regulations. By booking this yacht, all guests agree to abide by these terms and policies to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone onboard. Cancellation Policy - Full Refund: Cancellations made 7 days or more before the scheduled charter will receive a full refund. - 50% Refund: Cancellations made 3–6 days before the scheduled charter will receive a 50% refund. - No Refund: Cancellations made within 72 hours of the charter, late arrivals, or no-shows are non-refundable. - Weather-Related Cancellations: If the captain determines that weather or lake conditions are unsafe, guests may choose to reschedule their charter or receive a full refund. - Rescheduling: Requests to reschedule are subject to availability and should be made as early as possible. - Captain's Discretion: The captain reserves the right to cancel or modify a charter due to safety concerns, mechanical issues, or unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, guests will be offered a rescheduled date or a full refund. By booking, guests acknowledge and agree to this cancellation policy.
