Weather & Cancellation Policy Your safety and enjoyment are our priority. Marine weather can change quickly, and the captain has final authority regarding whether conditions are safe for departure. If the captain determines that the trip must be canceled because of unsafe weather, high winds, hazardous sea conditions, mechanical issues, or another safety-related circumstance beyond the guest’s control, we will follow the booking platform’s applicable cancellation/rescheduling policy. When permitted, we will work with you to reschedule your trip for another available date. Light clouds, cool temperatures, fog, or minor changes in the forecast do not necessarily constitute unsafe boating conditions. Please do not make your own determination that marine conditions are unsafe without contacting us first. Late Arrivals Please arrive at the designated meeting location at least 15–20 minutes before departure so everyone can board, receive a safety briefing, and depart on time. Your reservation begins at the scheduled departure time. Late arrival generally does not extend the scheduled return time because the boat, captain, marina, and subsequent reservations may already be committed. If your group is running late, please contact us as soon as possible. No-Shows Guests who fail to arrive for their scheduled charter without contacting us may be considered a no-show and may forfeit the booking in accordance with the booking platform’s cancellation policy. Captain’s Authority & Safety The captain has final authority aboard the vessel. Guests must follow all captain instructions concerning navigation, seating, life jackets, fishing, weather, passenger behavior, and other safety matters. The captain may modify the route, fishing location, destination, speed, or itinerary when necessary because of weather, tides, currents, vessel traffic, mechanical considerations, passenger safety, or changing marine conditions. Unsafe, threatening, reckless, or severely disruptive behavior will not be permitted. Life Jackets Appropriate personal flotation devices are carried aboard the vessel as required. Children and other passengers must wear life jackets whenever required by applicable law or when instructed by the captain. Guests who are not comfortable swimmers are encouraged to wear a life jacket while underway. Alcohol & Drugs Responsible alcohol consumption may be permitted when allowed by the booking platform, captain, and applicable law. Excessive intoxication, illegal drugs, unsafe behavior, or behavior that interferes with the safe operation of the vessel will not be permitted. The captain reserves the right to terminate a trip when passenger behavior creates a safety risk. Smoking Smoking, vaping, or use of similar products is not permitted aboard the vessel unless specifically authorized by the captain. Fishing Trips Fish species and fishing locations vary according to season, regulations, tides, weather, water conditions, and current fishing activity. Catching fish is never guaranteed. We will make every reasonable effort to provide an enjoyable and productive fishing experience, but fishing conditions are outside our control. All fishing must comply with current California fishing regulations, including applicable licenses, seasons, size limits, bag limits, and protected species requirements. Guests are responsible for obtaining any fishing license legally required of them unless the listing specifically states that it is provided. Cruising & Sightseeing Trips Specific destinations—including the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Angel Island, Sausalito, San Francisco waterfront, or other locations—cannot be guaranteed. The captain may modify the itinerary depending on trip duration, weather, wind, tides, currents, vessel traffic, and safety conditions. We will always try to provide the best experience reasonably possible within the conditions on the day of your trip. Passenger Limit & Guest Information The maximum passenger capacity stated in the listing must not be exceeded. Please provide an accurate passenger count when booking, including children. Guests should inform us before departure about any mobility considerations or other circumstances that could affect safe boarding or participation so we can determine whether reasonable accommodations can be made. What to Bring We recommend bringing layered clothing, a wind-resistant jacket, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, water, and any food or non-prohibited beverages you’d like during the trip. Conditions on San Francisco Bay can be considerably cooler and windier than conditions on shore, even on sunny days. For fishing trips, closed-toe, non-slip footwear is strongly recommended. Personal Belongings Guests are responsible for their personal belongings, including phones, cameras, wallets, clothing, fishing equipment, and other items brought aboard. Please secure valuables appropriately, as the vessel operator cannot guarantee recovery of items lost or damaged on the water. Boat Care Please treat the vessel and equipment with care. Do not intentionally damage, misuse, remove, or operate vessel equipment without the captain’s permission. Guests may be responsible, subject to applicable law and the booking platform’s policies, for damage caused by intentional misconduct, negligence, or violation of captain instructions. Children Families and children are welcome. Parents and guardians remain responsible for supervising children throughout the trip and must ensure that children follow the captain’s safety instructions. Final Safety Decision Marine conditions sometimes require plans to change. The captain retains final authority to delay departure, return early, change destinations, alter fishing grounds, or cancel a trip when reasonably necessary for the safety of passengers, crew, or vessel. By booking, guests acknowledge that boating and fishing are outdoor activities affected by weather and marine conditions and agree to follow all safety instructions provided by the captain. Platform policies control: Another booking platform has a cancellation, refund, payment, insurance, or other policy that conflicts with these terms, the applicable booking platform’s policy will govern.
