All have one thing in common, a very deep interest and intense passion of the outdoors. Each guide has qualifications which must be met which include first aid & swift water rescue training. Fishing Seasons are as follows: Lakes are open year round, usually ice free from mid April until November. River season opens June 16. We have access to a few rivers that are open year round as well, ice conditions permitting. Incept offers walk and wades or floats on rivers in whitewater rafts outfitted with full rowing frames with casting stations and all safety gear, our lake boats include a 23′ Bayliner trophy cuddy cabin and a few other well equipped boats for the smaller lakes fully rigged and ready to go! Born and raised in Southern Alberta, Mike has been able to develop a very deep and intimate relationship with our piece of country. Sharing a passion and having a desire to teach others has enabled Mike to foster relationships both with clients and within the industry earning him pro staff positions with some of the fishing industries top companies Mike likes to “think outside the box” and has an easygoing friendly demeanor which offers his clients a well rounded safe and enjoyable experience in the outdoors. Mike was able to get his start as a professional river guide when he worked for Kimball River Sports starting back in 2002. Working for them until they closed, Mike was able to learn and develop in a role which allowed him to start up the business in order to keep the river business alive. In the off season Mike likes to head to Nevada and chase Striped bass for a change of pace when he is not busy getting ready for the upcoming season!
