Frequently Asked Questions: • How long do the batteries last? The batteries will last the whole day. You can sail all day carefree. • What is the speed of the boat? The boats go between 6 km/h. • Do I need a license or experience? No, a license or experience is not required. The boats are easy to operate. • Can I bring food and drink? It’s allowed to take food and drinks. • Is there a map on board? When you leave you get a clear map of the routes along the Amsterdam canals. • What is the bad weather cancellation policy? In heavy and prolonged rain or storm, we can move a booking free of charge to another date or free cancellation is negotiable. • What are the sailing rules? - Never take risks, safety first. - Sail always starboard (right) - The maximum permissible speed is 6km ph. This is faster than a pedestrian, but slower than a cyclist. - Approach bridges in a way that you are visible to any oncoming traffic. - It is prohibited to sail under the influence of alcohol - Nuisance is not permitted (including loud music and shouting) - Loud music on board is not allowed. - Prohibited areas of operation are: Docklands, Nieuwe Herengracht, Route Western Channel, Kostverlorenvaart, Schinkel (crossing the water is allowed). Other inland waterways should be. - Swith on the lights off the boat at dusk or in darkness, so that your vessel is clearly visible.
