Rental Terms & Passenger Policies By booking a charter with us aboard El Explorador, all guests agree to the following terms and conditions: 1. Permitted Activities & Landing Compliance - Strict Activity Limits: Per our commercial landing regulations, this vessel is strictly permitted to operate Inshore/Harbor Eco-Tours, Sportfishing, and Diving. - Behavior: The Captain reserves the right to terminate any charter immediately without a refund if guests engage in unruly, unsafe, or illegal behavior. 2. Fuel & Transit Boundaries (Low-Price Protection) - Local Boundaries: This priced listing is strictly for local Long Beach inshore, harbor, and breakwater transit. - Offshore Surcharges: Venturing offshore or across the channel (e.g., to Catalina Island) is not included in this rate. If an offshore trip is desired, guests must book our dedicated Offshore Package listing, or be subject to a mandatory fuel surcharge billed prior to departure. 3. Alcohol, Food, & Controlled Substances - Alcohol Policy: Moderate consumption of beer, wine, and canned cocktails is permitted (BYOB). - Prohibited Items: Red wine, staining foods, glass bottles on the open deck, and any form of illegal drugs or controlled substances (including federally prohibited items) are strictly banned. - Cooler Space: Ice and cooler space are provided for guest refreshments and catches. 4. Fishing & Diving Regulations - Licensing: For sportfishing trips, all anglers aged 16 and older must possess a valid California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) Ocean Fishing License prior to boarding. - Dive Certifications: All scuba divers must present a valid C-card (certification card) from a recognized agency (PADI, NAUI, SSI, etc.) before splashing. - Gear: Passengers are responsible for bringing their own fishing tackle or scuba gear unless a premium rental package is explicitly arranged by our team in writing beforehand. 5. Weather, Cancellations, & Arrival - Captain’s Authority: The Captain has sole discretion to cancel or alter itineraries due to unsafe weather, rough sea conditions, or mechanical issues. In the event of a captain-canceled trip, a full refund or reschedule will be offered. - Arrival Time: Guests must arrive at the designated landing 15–20 minutes prior to departure. Safe boarding briefings are mandatory, and late arrivals will cut into your scheduled rental time.
