Although Santee Lakes are known world wide for catfishing, the north and south Santee rivers are over looked hot spots for the large catfish. Running though the Cypress swamps and the coastal wetlands as the make their way to the ocean, these rivers are the tailwaters of those great lakes. Off Shore 30 Miles to Gulf Stream We have had to make a few small pricing increases in the offshore and the nearshore trips. These increases are due to the increase of gas and oil prices The water offshore of Georgetown offers at times as good of blue water fishing as you can find, Tuna, Wahoo, Mahi-Mahi, Sailfish, and Marlin. The offshore ledges and live bottom areas produce Grouper, Red Snapper, and other bottom fish in great numbers. I keep the "Pipe Dream" rigged for all species. We fish hard and work hard to insure success. Me and my crew will use any technique possible to insure you a great day, even if it is your first trip or one-hundredth trip. We offer you as much help or as little help as you want. Fishing is not a spectator sport and is more exciting when you get to help. We cater to your skills, bottom line Near Shore (0-30 miles) For King and Spanish Mackerel, Cobia, Amber Jacks, and Barracuda, Spade, Black Sea Bass, Vermillion, Snappers and others. Fishing out of Winyah Bay the near shore waters have many productive wrecks, artificial reefs, and live bottom area to choose from. Here on these fishing grounds you can fish several methods, from bottom fishing, drifting and slow trolling, trolling spoon and plugs, to fly fishing. these trips generally consist of a 45 minute run to the first stop, plenty of sun and great fishing for many species. Inshore and Backwater Fish Winyah Bay, North Inlet, North and South Santee Rivers, and Bulls Bay for Redfish, Trout, Flounder, Blue Fish, Lady Fish, Black Drum Tarpon and Sharks. Casting and fly fishing is one of the purest forms of the art of fishing. It has more to offer in the thrill of the hunt and the feel of a perfect cast as it does number of fish caught. Then there is old faithful "Live Bait." No need for the TV perfect cast or working the bait just right. Just plain good ole fishing. Sometimes sitting waiting for the fish to come to you. Sometimes drifting or poling to cover more water. Either way it is fun and produces a lot of fish. From the thrill of fish hitting a top water plug to the charge of the cork heading to the grass, both work and make for a day of memories.
