You will be supplied with all the tackle, lures, licenses, food, and soft drinks you will need for the day. In short, the Gatun Sportfishing team has thought of everything so you don’t have to. You will have plenty to focus on, though, with monster Tarpon, Snook, Jack Crevalle, and Peacock Bass hunting the lake for hooks to bite. To bring them in, you will be given a choice of light spinning or casting tackle, and a variety of lures to suit all each species. There is also the option to buy bait for around $15 extra. If you’re looking for the ultimate angling adventure, you can’t beat Gatun Lodge’s multi-day packages. These trips are for up to two anglers and will have you fishing all day long without the long travel times in between. After each day, you can relax at the lodge and enjoy a delicious cook meal. At the end of your trip, your fish will be cleaned and filleted (tips are greatly appreciated) and you will be taken back to Panama City to enjoy the fruits of your labor and talk over the incredible hookups you experienced. Terms and Conditions General Rules Please be ready 10 minutes prior to pick up time of your trip. Please wear enclosed footwear for safety reasons, no black soles. The Captain is in command at all times; all passengers must comply with captain and crew instructions at all times. We suggest you bring a towel, sun glasses, hat, light clothing, sunscreen and rain gear. Number of Passengers Maximum number of passengers is 4. Minimum number of passengers is 1. Bookings and Payments No refunds apply if the charter has to be cancelled by the request of the party. A fishing day or multiple fishing days can be canceled by the operator If the safety of the passengers or the boat it is at risk due to bad weather, or a external event not controllable bythe company. In the event the trip is cancelled at any time by us, we will not be held liable for any travel costs, meals, accommodations or any other costs the customer may have incurred. Weather All Packages are subject to suitable weather conditions (the decision is made at the discretion of the Operator) and we reserve the right to cancel any trip due to bad weather (even at short notice). In an instance where the weather may turn unexpectedly it is at the discretion of the Operator as to whether any, a full, or part refund is given. Safety A safety brief is given on the lodge at your arrival. We have the right to ask any customer to wear a life jacket at any time. All children under 16 need to be accompanied by an adult (and they must wear a life jacket at all times). Those who are unable to swim are asked to wear a life jacket at all times. All passengers acknowledge that they are aware of the risks involved on a fishing adventure in the jungle. Each passenger voluntarily participates in the tour and assumes the responsibilities and risks resulting from their participation, including all risk of property damage and injury. All signing passengers understand that each one is solely responsible for any medical costs that may directly or indirectly result from their participation in the tour. Furthermore, each one acknowledges that each person is solely responsible for any action that they participate in associated with the Tour or around this Tour, regardless if occurring before, during or after the period of the Tour. Customer Behavior It is required that all customers behave in a safe and respectful manner to all staff, other customers and our property. If we find that there has been loss or damage to our equipment or vessel due to negligence or unruly behavior then the customer will be liable for replacement or repair of the item. The Captain reserves the right to cancel a trip and payment forfeited if unruly or unsafe behavior is displayed. Alcohol Alcohol is allowed on board the vessel and in our lodge; however, responsible consumption of alcohol is to be adhered to. The Captain reserves the right to: refuse alcohol on board if he deems it to be unsafe, refuse a passenger on board the vessel if they are under the influence of alcohol and can cancel the trip with no refund. No Illegal substances are permitted on board or in the lodge; violating this rule will result in the cancellation of the trip, and the event will be reported to the proper authorities.
