North Lake Tahoe 33ft Hobie Yacht 3 Hour Sailing Experience

We are back for 2026 starting May 20 and can't wait to sail with you! Take your family sailing for an afternoon or evening on beautiful Lake Tahoe with our skippered yacht "Aero".  Aero is a 33 foot keelboat that is safe, easily controlled and is fun to sail. We can accommodate private groups of up to six people with ages 5 and up.  Groups are not mixed so it's just you and your family/friends. We provide the lifejackets and you provide the smiles!  Take the helm and learn how to sail or just sit back and relax. The cost is $600 for a 3-hour session daily. Sailing times are from 2 PM to 5 PM and 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM daily including weekends.  Earlier sailing times are not available due to lack of wind. The boat type is called a Hobie 33 and you can google that for more information and pictures.  She's built light and for speed and the boat actually raced to Hawaii twice in the Pacific Cup!  There is a cabin on the boat to store coolers and clothing and you can bring whatever beverages and snacks that you like.  We serve non - alcoholic beverages on the boat but you are welcome to bring alcohol if you like.  Please know that the boat does not have a toilet on board but you can use the public restroom prior to boarding.  The boat is moored on a buoy and so we take a rubber 5 person dinghy out to the boat to board her.  If your group has six people we generally make two trips.  Older people who are a bit wobbly may have difficulty boarding the boat so please keep that in mind. We meet at the Lake Forest Boat Ramp just outside Tahoe City in North Lake Tahoe 15 minutes prior to sailing time so you can get a full three hours of sailing!   What to bring:  Please have all of your group members wear close-toed shoes or sneakers.  Bring some warm clothing as it can be colder on the water especially if its windy. Please do enquire if the boat is available for your desired day because the calendar on this site blocks out multiple time frames even if one is available. On the other motorboat listings, you'll see that a lot of trips are cut short due to high wind.  Our sailing experience thrives on wind and we can get right out into the middle of the lake without using gas.
