Captain Jack
Sailing out of Potrero, Surfari is a 42 ft sloop heavy enough displacement to make for a comfortable cruise. Board the boat in front of Las Brisas Bar Restaurant. We do snorkeling, fishing, dolphin, and whale watching trips. We also do overnight trips to destination's of your choice, surf trips, and trips to Nicaragua or any islands nearby. Surfari del Mar Tours start in Playa Potrero in front of Las Brisas Typical tours is from 1:30 till sunset Price is $90 per person four-person min. We can take up to 10 people all tours are private. Also do custom overnight and surf tours. If you have any questions, we can answer those through GetMyBoat’s messaging platform before you pay. Our sailing trip was fantastic. We were a tough crew with five (cranky) kids, but Captain Jack and his crew were super patient, understanding and provided the best experience for us. We ate delicious food, swam in beautiful waters and sailed through the sunset. Thank you!

When I asked my teenagers how they liked the trip, my oldest said "It was Magical, like something out of a movie"--I have to agree. The crew made it very special and everyone was so kind and friendly. The lunch they served was prepared by Jack's wife and it was so delicious-seriously one of our favorite meals in Costa Rica. Sailing back with music and the setting sun was absolutely fabulous. It's one of the highlights of our trip. My kids still talk about it. Highly recommend!

Could not get much better. Perfect day on the water – snorkeling, fishing, dolphin sighting, rays jumping, great lunch, some guitar playing, sunset watching. Private boat with plenty of space, shade, activities. Great for a family. Would wholeheartedly recommend and when we come back will ensure I book again.

Great day on the water. Jack was great to communicate with and our family had a really nice day. He took my two boys snorkeling which was great. We also had some WiFi issues and he was so helpful trying to help us. Would def recommend for a nice day on the water!

We had a fantastic sail and snorkel with Captain Jack. The beach and island we visited were beautiful and swimming in the turquoise waters was a lot of fun. Great conversation with Jack and crew. Great finale for our Costa Rica trip!!

I have sailed since 1974 and owned a sailboat since 1984. Had a Dunnigan 30 built late 40’s in San Perdo CA. after sailing a lot in southern California trucked the boat to Port Townsend. Sailed to Sideny B.C. where I sailed for 10 years in the Gulf Islands and Strait’s of Georgia. Bought Surfari here in 2010 rebuilt her and have been doing charters out of Potrero . $90 per person minimum 4 people beverages and snacks included. We sail out of Potrero starting at las Brisas normally start at 1:00 return at 6:00 . Drinks snack and gear included.
