All billfish are catch and release (Costa Rica Law) as well as roosterfish. However any tuna, dorado, wahoo, snapper or other meat fish is yours to keep and the crew will be happy to fillet everything out for you, so you can take back with you. How I get there? The Boat is located in Marina Pez Vela. The easiest option is with a taxi. Just have them bring you to Marina Pez Vela and the crew will be waiting for you in front of the IFISH Quepos office at 7am. If you need help with transport, please let us know and we do have some private transfer companies that are available upon request. What about tips ? No, tips for your crew are not included in the price. We recommend 15% – 20% as a customary tip based on the service you received. Just give the tip to the captain at the end of the day and he will split the tip up evenly with the crew. What kind of clothing should I wear? We recommend shorts, t-shirt or long sleeve dry fit type shirt, a large brimmed hat and sunglasses. Also, good sunscreen is a must as the Costa Rica sun is hot. For shoes, any sandal or tennis shoe is just fine.
