One person craft that looks like a giant inflatable armchair! Splash Rafting runs river bugging trips on the River Tummel, River Tay & Pinkston watersports (Glasgow) all year round. We brought River bugging to Scotland from NZ in 2003. We have the largest fleet of river bugs in the UK. This means we can take all your group at one session! River bugs are a great way to play on the river if you want that little bit more excitement. They are ideal for summer river levels. Splash pioneered river bugging in Scotland, and as such we are the most experienced provider of this fun outdoor activity. We have introduced thousands of our guests to this fun activity since 2003. After receiving expert instruction from our experienced river bug guides, we’ll get you out on the river or on the white water course. You will be complete with your webbed gloves and full wetsuit gear, ready to hit the river. We will help you negotiate your own path down the white water rapids. Itinerary: 1. You will arrive at your meeting point 15 minutes before the trip start time to sign in. 2. Firstly we will give you a full equipment brief and instruction prior to you changing into the activity specific clothing supplied. 3. You then receive a full safety and skills induction on the river bank before getting in the river bugs on the river. 4. You and your team will work with one of our experienced guides to navigate the river and its rapids. 5. Finishing at the end of the river section you will be transported back to the changing facilities. Trips are every Friday evening (18.00). Plus all day on Saturdays (09.30am, noon & 14.30). Plus Sundays (09.30am & 13.00) from June until the end of September. What is included: On every River Bugging trip we include all equipment required plus a professional experienced guide combined with an overall trip leader in charge of the trip. A logistics manager on land who is also a very experienced guide. All equipment required which includes over £150 worth of wetsuits, helmets, lifejackets and paddles. What to bring: You will be provided with everything you need to go River Bugging. However we do ask you to bring an old pair of shoes to wear on the river (These will get wet), and your swimwear for underneath your wetsuit. Optional - a non-cotton T-shirt (synthetic materials are best) for under your wetsuit. Depending on the time of the year warm clothing for before and after your trip.
