Welcome aboard our beautifully maintained 1984 Catalina 36 . Winedown is designed for relaxed cruising and memorable moments on the water, this comfortable sailboat offers the perfect setting for a peaceful harbor adventure, romantic sunset, special celebration, or fun-filled outing with family and friends. Your experience begins with a minimum two-hour sail around the harbor and, weather permitting, beyond the harbor for an even more scenic journey. Once the motor is switched off and the sails are raised, the boat glides smoothly through the water with quiet confidence. Feel the breeze, listen to the gentle sounds of the sea, and enjoy a refreshing change of pace as the shoreline fades into the distance. Whether you are sipping wine beneath a colorful sunset, celebrating an anniversary, enjoying time with loved ones, or hoping to catch a glimpse of local marine life, every trip is designed to be relaxed, personal, and unforgettable. Guests are welcome to bring their own alcohol, including red wine. Complimentary water and ginger ale are provided, along with a light snack to enjoy during the sail. Onboard amenities include a bathroom, refrigerator, stereo with Bluetooth audio, GPS, and VHF radio. Children’s life jackets are available, making the boat suitable for families with young guests. Pets are also welcome, and shoes may be worn onboard. (Please no high heels or boots as they scuff up the deck) This classic sailboat combines timeless character with the comforts needed for an enjoyable day on the water. Come ready to unwind, take in beautiful coastal views, and experience the harbor from a whole new perspective. With calm waters, open skies, and the peaceful rhythm of the sails, your time aboard is sure to be an experience worth remembering.

Born and raised along the Southern California coast, I developed a lifelong passion for the ocean that eventually led me to the helm. Today, I am a USCG 25-ton Master Captain and the proud owner and operator of a classic 36 ft Catalina sailboat . With over 10 years of sailing experience, I have spent a decade navigating coastal waters and mastering the wind. For me, nothing beats the thrill of being out on the open water—except, perhaps, the joy of sharing unforgettable sailing experiences with others.

Departure Location

We will depart from the dock directly in front of the old Jolly Roger Restaurant. ****Please arrive 15 minutes prior to departure for safe boarding and a brief safety talk from your Captain. Parking Free parking is available on the back wall of the parking lot on either side of the old Jolly Roger Restaurant. Anywhere that does NOT say "Boat Permit Parking Only" What to bring Attire - Its best to bring a layer or two as it oftentimes gets cold out on the water. Even though the boat has a Dodger and Bimini for lots of shade, it's a good idea to bring sunglasses and a hat. Shoes - Please only soft soled shoes on board. NO hard bottom shoes including heels or boots Note from the Captain: You may be asked to remove improper footwear before boarding. Sunscreen - Please do not use the sunscreen sprays onboard. It ruins the fiberglass on the boat. We will have sunscreen on board should you need it. Seasickness Oceanside is pretty calm, especially on a morning sail and most guests do fine out on the water. If you are prone to seasickness or are worried you might get sick, you can purchase over the counter medication such as Dramamine or Bonine. Its best to take the medication the night before as well as several hours before the sail. If you feel yourself not feeling well, move to the front of the boat to get more air and focus on the horizon. We will have water and ginger ale on board, just ask the captain or crew. Refunds and Cancellations The Captain can cancel a trip within 2 hours of departure due to strong winds, rain, rough seas, or other safety risks. In these instances, guests will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule based on availability. Standard Cancellation: Must be made at least 1 days prior to the departure date. Mechanical Issues: In the rare event of mechanical difficulties with the vessel, a full refund will be issued.
