Do I need to take the boater safety test? Florida law requires the renter of the jet ski or pontoon to be at least 18 years of age and if you were born January 1, 1988, or after you must have taken and passed the Florida Boat Rental Test and obtained a Florida Temporary Boating Certificate. 2. Can I bring a pet? Pets are allowed but we have a non-refundable $50 Pet Fee. 3. Is alcohol permitted on the boat? Alcohol is permitted on the boat, but no bottles, and nobody who is driving the boat can drink alcohol.
