Key Towns and Villages on Your Cruise Hesse A pleasant and serene village, Hesse has preserved its charm and character over many years. Apart from a well-organized port, the village also has the ruins of a Benedictine Abbey from the 11th century, which is now the village church. Niderviller In this typical floral city, you will find a beautiful church tower in a baroque style. Faience is also very developed in Niderviller; you will enjoy a visit to the porcelain factory. Arzviller Arzviller is a pretty little village mainly known for its huge and unique boat lift that you will use to lift or lower your boat 45 metres up or down the canal. There's also a small, but interesting visitor centre if you fancy learning more about the lift's history. Lutzelbourg Lutzelbourg is easily identified by its towering castle which overlooks alpine wooden houses, giving the city a fairytale appearance. You can take a guided tour of the city by train. Also worth a visit are the city's many shops, the crystal cutter at “Maison Wurm”, and the boat museum. Saverne It's a small and friendly town, possessing the region's characteristic steep-pitched roofs and window boxes full of geraniums. There are some beautiful traditional old half-timbered houses in town. Saverne is also known for its famous Rose Garden, displaying over 550 roses. Hochfelden The town is famous locally for its brewery. Brewing has been here since 870 A.D. and the local family owned brewer, Meteor, has a brasserie and museum. The brewery offers guided tours. Brumath Centuries ago, Brumath was the capital of Alsace and one of the most influential cities in the area. Learn about the town's amazing history at the great castle of Hanau-Lichtenberg, with its excellent museum. Strasbourg There are so many things to see in this big town, with its streets bursting with flowers! This is the home of the European parliament and its impressive building can be seen from the canal. Strasbourg is also famous for its Gastronomy: foie gras, wines of Alsace, chocolates and eaux de vie. What To Expect Onboard: Cirrus B is a variation of our Cirrus A. As comfortable and easy to handle, it has a double cabin at the rear rather than a twin. The Cirrus B is very popular in our fleet. Measuring 8.80 metres (29-foot), it can comfortably accomodate a couple or a small family with enough space for 4 person. The double cabin at the rear, as well as the large saloon with a single sofa bed and dinette converting into a second single bed, makes this boat a small-size floating villa! What’s on board? • You've got two nice decks: Watch the scenery pass by in comfort from decks in the front and back of the boat! • The lounge is the perfect place to socialize and has a radio/CD player • A kitchen is what all you need with a cooker, electric fridge and lots of space for storage! Interior & Saloon • The central saloon has a dining table and chairs, a radio/CD player, and a steering position. Cabins & Bathrooms • The aft (rear) cabin has has bunk beds that convert to one double bed. There's also an en-suite bathroom with a shower and toilet. • At the front of the boat, the cabin offers a double bed and en suite bathroom that includes toilet and a shower. If You Cancel Your Holiday Cancellation Terms: To cancel a reservation, the Renter should notify the Company in writing. Period before departure in which you notify the Company and Cancellation Penalty: More than 70 days prior to departure date: Deposit is non-refundable Between 70 and 43 days prior to departure date: 45% of the total holiday cost is non-refundable Between 42 and 15 days prior to departure date: 60% of the total holiday cost is non-refundable Between 14 days and departure date: 100% of the total holiday cost is non-refundable If You Change Your Booking If, after our confirmation invoice has been issued, you wish to change your travel arrangements in any way, for example your chosen departure date (in the same season only), destination or boat, we will do our utmost to make these changes but it may not always be possible. Any request for changes to be made must be in writing from the lead name or your travel agent.  The price of your holiday may increase or decrease to reflect the changes requested by you. You will be asked to pay an administration charge of US$140 (more than 70 days prior to departure) or US$250 (between 70 and 15 days prior to departure) per booking amendment and any further cost we incur in making this alteration and any increase in the cost of your trip. Please note that no changes or rescheduling are permitted less than 14 days prior to departure. Please check whether your holiday insurance will cover any changes or increased costs resulting from a change. You should be aware that these costs could increase the closer to the departure date that changes are made and you should contact us as soon as possible.
