Sail out the Golden Gate Bridge with a purpose. Not just another sightseeing tour, we'll be heading toward Point Bonita lighthouse with a mission to catch as many crabs as possible. We'll cast off from the docks at Cavallo Point, located just north of San Francisco in the shadow of the iconic bridge, and hoist the sails as we head south-by-southwest, past the north tower and along the rugged cliffs of the Marin headlands. Keep your eyes peeled for seals, harbor porpoises, and other signs of the thriving wildlife of the Greater Farallones Marine Sanctuary. Once we get to the ideal depth, we'll set the bait, toss our crab pots, and sail figure-eights until it's time to haul them up, half an hour later. You'll be welcome to sip hot cocoa on the foredeck, or recline under the shade covering of the spacious cockpit on Alsager – a 42' steel sloop built for offshore racing in the 1960s. Once we're satisfied with our haul, we'll head back for the harbor where we can boil the biggest and juiciest crabs from our catch in the parking lot on a propane stove. This experience is great for family visiting from out-of-town as an introduction to San Francisco Bay, or for work off-sites and teambuilding outings. WEEKDAY DISCOUNT: 20% off Monday - Friday Love hiking and the outdoors? We'll dock at Angel Island and use the picnic grills onshore. Baseball fan? Watch or listen to the game while anchored out McCovey Cove and keep an eye out for splash home runs.  Let us design a custom San Francisco Bay experience for your group.  You can request pick up in San Francisco, Tiburon, Sausalito, Berkeley, or Jack London Square.
