Enjoy a wildlife and nature boat tour in Oban, Scotland! Charter this 33ft Rigid Inflatable Boat for up to 12 people, for as low as $350 per hour. Oban lies on the West coast of Scotland, approximately 120 miles north of Glasgow and at the heart of Argyll. The ‘Gateway to the Isles’, is a busy channel with a fishing vessels and ferries making runs to the western islands. Visitors can stroll the street taking in this quaint towns Gaelic history and stop a local eatery and try some of the various offerings of this seafood capital of Scotland. Oban offers visitors the opportunity to see the glorious gardens of Argyll, such as the spectacular woodland garden at Crarae or the coastal garden at Arduaine. There is the conservation village of Inveraray with its fairy tale castle, and the chance to sample the delights of malt whisky from one of several distilleries. If the dramatic scenery of the coast and mountains and the fascinating histories of the local castles and ancient religious sites weren’t enough, the wildness of the seas will leave you speechless. We offer wildlife and nature boat trips where you will get the see wildlife such as whales, porpoise, dolphins, basking sharks, otter, golden and white tailed sea eagles. Imagine, crossing the Sound of Jura to the worlds 3rd largest whirlpool, where the possibility to sail past a seal colony and a sea eagle nesting site. Rates: $350 Per Hour Deposit - $89 Corryvreckan Wildlife Tour – 2 hours - Adult - $55 - Child - $42 (4 & up) March through the end October Whale Watching Tour - Adult - $70 - Child - $53 Iona and Staffa Tour – 150 travel min & 2.5 hrs on land - Adult - $106 - Child - $78 Visit Iona Abbey, linked with St Columba, with ample time ashore to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Whirlpool Special Tour - 1.75 hrs (8yrs and up) - Adult - $55 - Child (4 & up) - $42 Leaving from Easdale, the focus of the trip is purely to enjoy the spectacle of the tidal action. We do not run these trips on a daily basis. Please contact owner for possible dates and departure times to ensure tidal conditions to see the whirlpools are at their best. What To Expect Onboard: We operate a modern Rigid Hulled Inflatable Boat (RIB), and with our skipper and crew positioned to the rear of the vessel, all passengers can be seen by our staff throughout the tour. This is an important safety issue on an open boat. Roomy individual jockey seats make for easy access to your seat. There is no requirement for passengers to walk around the boat to see the wildlife, let our skipper position the boat so you get the best possible view from the comfort of your individual seat. Cruising speeds only reach around 25 knots, even though these boats can reach 50 knots whilst fully laden. We won’t be demonstrating this fact at any point during our tour. We supply a full set of quality waterproof clothes and appropriately sized life jackets for all our customers. What you should bring - Warm, comfortable clothes (if you have wellington boots with you, you may want to consider wearing them) to wear under the waterproofs. - Hats, gloves, sunglasses and sunscreen - Spare set of clothes and shoes in the car for your return - Cameras, binoculars, sweets, water etc. We suggest you wrap your items in a polythene bag then put them in your pocket or bring a small rucksack to hang on the back of a seat. Cancellations and Refund Policy - In the event of late arrivals, we reserve the right to maintain our advertised trip departure time and leave without you - We ask that you arrive 30 minutes prior to the stated departure time - In the event that we cancel a trip due to poor weather or insufficient numbers we will provide a full refund - If you wish to cancel your booking, we will issue a refund if we receive more than 24 hours’ notice - If you give us less than 24 hours’ notice, we reserve the right not to refund unless we are able to re-sell - Children over 4 are very welcome on our trips (8 or over for whirlpool tour); however, the skipper's decision is final in the event of poor weather and sea conditions - Persons in wheelchairs can be accommodated, but the weather must be calm and we will require advanced notice. This will allow us to ensure the boat available has the relevant seats removed and we are ready to strap the wheelchair in position once boarded. This takes us time which we will make
