Nusa Penida The arid island of Nusa Penida is a limestone plateau with extraordinary beauty and white sand beaches. This is one of three islands off the southern coast of Bali. The usual water temperature is around 27ºC but it can go down as cold as 16ºC in July to September. The visibility is extraordinary, often more than 30m, and the coral reefs covering the inner walls and bay of Nusa Penida are quite pure. Because of the location of these islands, between Bali and Lombok, the diving flows of Nusa Penida can be very strong reaching more than 4 knots with down-current.
