FISHING GUIDE SERVICE About us The guide service was set up in 2003 with the sole intention of offering a first-class, professional guiding/instruction service for anyone keen to fish for wild brown trout, grayling, sea trout and salmon in stunning locations. Since then we have welcomed hundreds of clients from all over the world, to all areas of Scotland, and had a lot of fun. We’ve enjoyed no shortage of successes and, inevitably in the pursuit of wild fish, some enjoyable trials and tribulations along the way too. The guide service is run by Finlay Wilson who lives next to and manages three miles of private double-bank fishing on the River Tweed. He is a life-long fishing nut and divides his time between a career in music, freelance journalism and catching fish - oh, and running after two teenage daughters. Finlay is a Hardy/Greys endorsed guide, a member of the Hardy Academy and a regular contributor to fly-fishing publications like Trout & Salmon magazine. The guides are all fully qualified and committed to improving your fishing knowledge and skills, whatever your level may be. Seasonal Special April and May can produce fantastic sport on the rivers for wild trout on the dry fly with the chance of hooking into real specimens in hatches of march browns and large dark olives. Spring salmon fishing is now really kicking in too after a slow start due to low river levels and temperatures. Nothing compares to the raw power of a springer straight in from the sea.
