What You Can Expect: Enjoy a day at sea, full of tradition, sailing in the island’s classic. The day excursion starts at 10:00, to make the most of the morning, in the port of Fornells. There you will be met by Jordi, the captain of the ship. We will sail across the Bay of Fornells and into open sea, heading to the East or West, depending on the weather. We will visit some of the magnificent coves of the Menorca Marine Reserve, created in 1999 to conserve the coast and its marine fauna. During the journey, we will make a few stops in hidden nooks where you will be able to swim in crystal-clear waters, or snorkel and explore the seafloor. Dive among moray eels, lobsters, octopuses, and red mullets. We also offer you our paddle surfboards. So don’t forget your swimsuit! If you have selected the half day excursion, we will sail back to the port in order to arrive there at about 14:00. If you’d prefer to spend the entire day at sea, at lunchtime we will drop anchor at one of the beaches, making a long stop. We offer you our inflatable boat so that you can get on land, and enjoy a relaxing stroll on the beach or eat on the sand. What To Expect Onboard: Our boat, the Binifabini, is a typical traditional boat of the Balearic Islands, and a true icon of Menorca. It was constructed in 1994 by Astilleros Capeador, a family-run business of boat builders that have been making llauts for more than 50 years. Llauts enjoy a high level of prestige in the world of sailing. Their consistency and stability, even in the most adverse weather conditions, make them the perfect vessel for all types of marine activities. Its deck capacity is 10 people for day-excursion rentals. For routes with an overnight stay, our llaut has 1 double bed for 2 people, and a living room with 2 sofa beds with capacity for 3 more people. For the more adventurous, we also offer the possibility that an additional 3 passengers sleep in the spacious exterior cockpit. After a complete restoration and tune-up during the winter of 2016, the Binifabini is ready to become your home for a few hours or days. We want you to feel at home!
