Experience an unforgettable wildlife cruise in the beautiful Amvrakikos Gulf, one of the most important wetland ecosystems in the Mediterranean and a protected Natura 2000 area. Departing from the port of Preveza, this relaxing boat experience offers guests the opportunity to observe dolphins in their natural habitat while exploring one of Greece’s most unique marine environments. The Amvrakikos Gulf is home to a resident population of bottlenose dolphins, as well as sea turtles and hundreds of species of coastal and migratory birds that inhabit the lagoons and wetlands of the region. This makes the gulf a fascinating destination for wildlife observation and nature-based tourism. Your experience takes place aboard one of our traditional wooden boats, offering a comfortable and authentic way to explore the calm waters of the gulf. Our fleet consists of **three vessels—two with a capacity of 25 guests and one with a capacity of 35 guests—**allowing us to accommodate both small groups and larger bookings while maintaining a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere on board. The cruise begins from Preveza port, where guests board the vessel and meet the crew. After a short welcome and safety briefing, the boat departs into the Amvrakikos Gulf. During the cruise, guests can enjoy the peaceful scenery while our crew provides an introduction to the ecosystem, wildlife, and natural history of the area. As the boat navigates through areas where dolphins are frequently observed, guests have the opportunity to watch these fascinating animals in their natural environment. Dolphins are often seen swimming, traveling in small groups, or playing near the boat, creating memorable moments for visitors. Throughout the cruise, guests may also observe sea turtles and a wide variety of bird species, including coastal and migratory birds that inhabit the wetlands surrounding the gulf. At a selected location, the boat will stop for a swimming break, giving guests the opportunity to enjoy the calm waters of the gulf and relax in the beautiful natural surroundings. Following the swimming stop, a buffet-style lunch will be served on board, allowing guests to enjoy a meal while surrounded by the scenery of the Amvrakikos Gulf. The lunch includes seafood dishes as well as vegan options, accompanied by water and a complimentary glass of wine. After lunch, the cruise continues with a relaxing return journey back to Preveza port, offering additional time to enjoy the views and the peaceful atmosphere of the gulf. This experience combines wildlife observation, relaxation, and authentic local hospitality, making it an ideal activity for nature lovers, families, couples, and travelers seeking a unique experience in Greece.
