This is not a typical boat rental. Each charter is thoughtfully curated so you can arrive and immediately settle into a beautifully prepared setting where every detail has been considered. Ideal for daytime outings, sunset cruises, or intimate gatherings, Port & Proper delivers a calm, social, and sophisticated atmosphere. From chic brunch spreads to fully styled celebrations, PortandProper offers additional add-on experiences such as bachelorette packages, charcuterie boards, and other custom-curated setups, allowing you to elevate your charter with a seamless and beautifully coordinated experience. We also offer provisioning from local stores prior to your charter. A $100 provisioning fee applies, allowing everything you need to be stocked and ready with no last-minute shopping required. Captain Information A licensed captain is required for all charters and is paid separately, directly to the captain. Preferred captains: $75/hour Holiday weekends and Newport Beach Boat Parade: $95/hour Sunset Enhancements (evening bookings) Ambient candlelight Fire feature for warmth and ambiance Soft, intimate evening setting Important Notes Guests are welcome to bring food and beverages. Departure is from Newport Beach Harbor, with details provided after booking. Whether you’re celebrating something special or simply making the harbor a habit, Port & Proper offers a beautifully elevated way to experience Newport. All charters must be captained. You may choose from our list of preferred captains or bring your own USCG-licensed captain, subject to review of credentials and completion of vessel-specific training prior to charter. Once booked: Please send us a message with your email address to receive the link to the documents that must be signed by all passengers prior to the charter. The charterer renting the boat must sign Forms PPC_001 and PPC_002 prior to the charter and must also bring a valid U.S. driver’s license or passport in person to the boat. All other guests must sign Form PPC_002 prior to the charter.
