Christopher and Ethan were great! They were friendly and helpful but also let us do our own thing. They remembered everyone’s names and even encouraging and patient with those who struggled to wake surf. Couldn’t ask for more!

I don’t even know where to begin. I booked this boat specifically because it was advertised as a surf boat. And communicated with the captain from the get go that I wanted to surf. The whole entire point was to surf. Not only did the boat fail to produce a surfable wave, it produced no wave at all. I have photos and videos of multiple people trying to surf behind this boat and it’s literally just… white water. It was actually laughable. The captain clearly had no idea how to operate the boat properly. He kept asking us how to adjust the settings, like we were supposed to coach him through it. I didn't rent a DIY surf experience, I booked a professional charter. I paid for them to deliver something they clearly were not equipped for. Then, to top it all off, the captain ran over a rope, broke the boat, and we had to be towed back. Yep. Towed. And we had to pay $77 out of pocket just to Uber back to where our cars were parked. After all of that chaos, they offered us a grand total of $100 back. Which barely even covers the ubers, let alone any amount of money we actually spent on renting the boat. For a boat that didn’t do what it was advertised to do, with a captain who couldn’t drive it, that ended with us stranded and calling Ubers. Ridiculous. Honestly, this whole experience felt like a scam. Save yourself the money, time, and disappointment.

Captain’s Tip: A 20% captain’s tip is required for all bookings and is paid directly through the GetMyBoat website at the time of booking. Cancellation Policy: As outlined in our Terms & Cancellation Policy, we offer a 100% refund if canceled at least 5 days before your scheduled booking date. Cancellations made outside of this window are not eligible for refunds but may be rescheduled. Your booking includes a fun day on the water in Austin, Texas with: • 1 wakeboard • 1 wakesurf board • 1 towable tube You’re welcome to bring your own floaties or boards if you’d like. Please note that a lily pad is not included and will not be provided. Reminder: Please bring bags of ice for your drinks so you can fully enjoy your Lake Austin boat day. 🚤🌊 Boat Rules: - If unsafe weather conditions (thunderstorms, high winds) prevent your booking, we offer free rescheduling only. We do not offer a refund. - No smoking, glass containers, or pets allowed onboard. - No Shoes on Board: To keep the boat in top condition, please remove your shoes before boarding. Barefoot or boat-friendly socks are recommended. No water shoes allowed. - Guests must respect weight limits and seating capacity. - Any damage caused during the rental period is the renter’s responsibility. - No unsafe behavior will be tolerated. - A 30-minute grace period is allowed. After that, late arrivals may result in shortened rental time. If you are more than 45 minutes late, your ride may be cancelled and considered a no-show. Please communicate any delays in advance to Captain. If you arrive late, your ride will not be extended, as the captain has other bookings scheduled. - If you or anyone in your party arrives late, your time on the boat will not be extended.
