Stand Up Paddleboard Lessons in Encinitas
STAND UP PADDLE Stand up paddling or SUP is a "new" take on an old style. It has been around for decades but has seen a revival with many prominent surfers and waterman taking new SUP equipment to new levels and surfing waves previously only surfed by traditional surfers. SUP is also being used for distance paddling in open ocean as well as paddling on lakes, rivers and in other similar areas. The "new" sport has grown enormously in a short time with everyone from surfers to celebrities jumping on the SUP fad. It is a great workout and fun take on surfing that can be enjoyed by surfers and non-surfers alike on almost any body of water. Rates $120 - 2 hr private lessons.

We are a surfing academy from Maui, HI now open in North County San Diego, CA. My name is Matt Allen and I've been privileged to teach surfing for close to a decade now in Lahaina, Maui, HI for Kimo Kinimaka at The Royal Hawaiian Surf Academy. When his uncle Titus opened Titus Kinimaka's Hawaiian School of Surfing in Hanalei, Kauai, HI I was again privileged to travel between islands teaching and learning all aspects of traditional surfing and stand-up paddle surfing. I was so lucky and blessed to be able to share and learn from this great family of watermen to strengthen, improve, and round my own surfing and teaching. I have moved to North County San Diego, the place of my birth, to teach and share my passion for the ocean and all that I've learned from the beautiful islands of Maui and Kauai. Aloha
