Born in Rio de Janeiro in 1956, Captain Gurjão is a sportsman who has enjoyed sea related activities since very young. From body-surfing, to surfing, windsurfing and sailing. His career as a financial executive in the corporate world evolved parallel to his passion for these sports and permitted the acquisition of Kamehameha in January 2008. Sail in Rio was founded as consequence of this passion and of the increasing demand for sail chartering in Rio de Janeiro. Licensed Amateur Captain by the Brazilian Navy, Captain Gurjão accumulates significant sailing mileage from his trips north and south of the Brazilian coast.

Reservations: Appointments must be requested by email or message, sending the following data: full name of participants; an email address to send the voucher; a quick message app; down payment in the amount of 20% of the tour value. The reservation will only be confirmed upon receipt of the down payment. The amount will be deducted from the total payable on the day of the tour. Cancellations: By the customer: Cancellations can be made at any time. However, those who cancel less than 48 hours before the beginning of the tour will not have the down payment refunded.
