Sail for half a day and spend the rest of the day on a private fishing excursion. When either booking an extended stay on Fate or just a house on the beach, our fishing charter captains can fish many different types of habitat in a variety of locations. Everything from wading flooded grass flats, live baiting under docks, nearshore reefs and wrecks, inlets, back bays, tidal creeks.

What To Expect Onboard:

Fate is a 2007 Beneteau 49 and represents a new era of truly exceptional Beneteau sailing yachts. The profile and look of the hull and deck, designed by Berret/Racoupeau, were modernized while retaining the major assets that have made Beneteau yachts admired for decades. Below decks, Nauta drew strikingly beautiful lines combined with brilliant woodwork, and superb materials to bring the Beneteau 49 to a new level of interior luxury.

Fate is equipped with lcd TV's and dvd players in each room including a large flat screen LED TV in the main salon. A CD player and Ipod connection are available to play Pandora or your favorite playlist during your trip, a charging station will help keep your electronics charged at all times.

The galley is fully equipped with pots, pans, dishes, silverwear and selection of wine and drinking cups. The fridge is fully stocked with complimentary bottled water and sodas for your use. The freezer is available for your foods of choice and any other beverages you wish to bring. Our exclusive Fate Chardonnay is available for $30 per bottle.

There are two master staterooms with queen beds, each with their own full bathroom with private entry. They are located at opposite ends of that yacht for full privacy. Linens and towels are provided along with many extras for those overnight trips.

"Fate" is fully air-conditioned in the summer and heated in the cooler months, you can set your preferred temperatures just like at home.

Rental Requirements

Frequently Asked Questions:

Do I need to have 6 people to make a reservation?

You do not need to have six people to sign up. The price is set for the boat and not a number of passengers aboard. However, we are limited to 6 passengers max.

What should I bring with me?

A camera is a must-have item! You might also want to bring binoculars, hat, or sunscreen. You are also welcome to bring beverages and snacks on the boat including alcoholic beverages.

What should I wear?

Summer time is hot but some may desire a long sleeved shirt to help keep the sun off.

During the winter dress in layers with comfortable and casual clothes. Definitely bring a warm jacket or sweater because sometimes it can be a bit cool on the water. All passengers should wear soft-soled tennis shoes only. No boots or high heels please! (For safety reasons, passengers that are not wearing proper foot attire may be asked by the Captain to remove their shoes.)

What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel or reschedule your trip, we require that you notify us a minimum of 7 days prior to your charter date. If a reservation is made within seven days of the charter date, no cancellations are allowed.

Should I tip the Captain and crew?

If you enjoyed your experience and thought we went above average for levels of service feel free to tip. Gratuity for your Captain or crew is not included in the tour price and is discretionary. 18-20% is typically recommended, though. Keep in mind that the crew's wages are based on tips, the crew is not only the yacht captains who are responsible for your safety but also your servers, and tour guides. They work extremely hard to make your time on Fate the best experience possible!

What happens if there is bad weather?

Cancellations due to weather are at the discretion of the Captain. If we must cancel your trip because of unfavorable or unsafe weather/ocean conditions you'll be given the option of rescheduling.

Do I need to make a reservation in advance?

Although we can sometimes take last minute sign-ups, we highly recommend that you contact us and make a reservation in advance. If you plan to go during the major holidays or events we recommend contacting us a couple of weeks or months in advance.

Do you provide food and refreshments on the boat?

In our effort to continue offering sailing tours at a low price we regret that we are unable to provide food and alcohol beverage service. However, you are welcome to bring aboard your own snacks and drinks. For safety reasons, we ask that you do not bring glass beer bottles. Complimentary water and sodas are provided.

Do children or infants count as a passenger?

Yes, they do. The United States Coast Guard considers every person, except for the Captain, as a passenger. Also, any child under the age of 13 must wear a USCG-approved Type 1 PFD (life jacket) provided by you during the charter. Children require supervision by parent or guardian at all times and must be capable of remaining calmly seated for several hours.

Can I bring more than 6 passengers on the sailboat?

Unfortunately, no. United States Coast Guard regulations require that we take a maximum of 6 passengers per sailboat. This law is taken very seriously and no exceptions can be made. For larger groups, we recommend chartering two boats.

Are your sailboats safe?

Our sailboat is clean, well maintained, and fully insured for charter. Vessel meets or exceeds safety requirements by the United States Coast Guard with onboard equipment that includes Type 1 Personal Flotation Devices (life jackets) for every passenger, an approved Sound Producing Device, fire extinguishers, flares, a VHF radio, & an approved ring buoy. They also meet equipment, operation, and pollution prevention regulations established by the Coast Guard. Vessel Captains possess a valid license issued by the U. S. Coast Guard.

Will I get seasick?

The majority of our guests don't get seasick (99.99%). In fact, we have had only 2 guests in 5 years get sick. But concerned passengers could bring products that contain ginger, such as ginger cookers or Ginger Ale because they have been known to help calm an upset stomach. Be sure to take the no drowsy type as we have had guests sleep through an entire charter.
