What To Expect Onboard: When MacGregor gave the 26X model room for a 50 hp outboard in the mid 1990s, the move heralded a new market focus. The water ballast that had been removable only after taking the boat out of the water could now be dumped while underway if the sails were down. With its lightweight planning hull, the boat then became a powerboat capable of doing over 20 mph. The marketing strategy has shifted from its former emphasis on practical trailering to the fun and usefulness of having two boats in one. Sail or power, take your pick. Austin was amazing. We asked him to captain, which he did without any extra charge. He was great with communication ahead of time, very accommodating during the trip, and made sure we were comfortable and taken care of. Absolutely recommend!
Austin was a great captain and went out of his way to make it a good experience for me and my kids:
We had a great time and would love to do t again.
We had a good experience sailing with Austin. I am going to do a pre-check at a sailboat rental company in Santa Cruz next weekend. I needed a sailing refresher and to have my wife practice as my first mate. Austin came along at no additional charge to give me tips and pointers on my sailing. It was very helpful to have him there. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that there are some maintenance items that need to be done on the boat. For instance, neither of the winches operate correctly. Since most of the time Austin is the crew, because he knows how to work around these issues, it's not a problem. But since my wife and I were the helmsmen and the crew, it was less than ideal to have to practice crewing around the malfunctioning parts of the boat.
I am excited to be a part of the GetMyBoat movement in making boats more accessible and affordable to others. I hope to get out on the water more and help boating grow.

Typically, at least, a week or more advance notice is needed. Some dates and times might need to be adjusted based on schedule. All days listed as available may still have conflicts with date and time and/or conditions. ”Off-Season“ rates are not available. Weather can be unpredictable and safety of all passengers is my #1 concern and priority.
