Its strategically significant location is seen from the numerous forts, 20 km long underground tunnels, caves, and military bases. Join us for a discovery of great importance, and we will reveal to you a turbulent history of this jewel, know as a ''Key to the Adriatic''. Starting early in the morning from Trogir and Split, we will first reach the village Komiža. The name of this village may be familiar to you, and it is probably because the second part Mamma Mia movie was filmed over there. Take your time for a cup of coffee or breakfast before we start exploring military sites. Our specialized crew will take you on a jeep journey to reveal the stories left in each corner of the island. Ex submarine tunnel, the highest peak of Vis, Tito's cave and ex airfield, will for sure leave strong impressions on you. From the 1990s, the island has developed into the finest gastronomic destination thanks to its unique climate and rich plain fields. After visiting all the great sites mentioned above, it is time to taste the island's traditional specialties - Salty anchovy’s pie (Komiška pogača) and authentic wine sort Vugava. These delicacies will be served in a family-owned tavern with a cozy atmosphere and admiring view of an old airport. Vis Island is not only rich with its intense history, but it is also famous for its crystal clear bays and sandy beaches. One of them is Stiniva bay, a small part of paradise on Vis Island. It has been named one of the most beautiful sandy beaches in Europe by tourism organization European Best Destinations. Soak up the sun and explore the underwater world before we head back home.
