Beautiful classic 40 ft Swan sailboat with teak deck and gorgeous velvet and teak veneer interiors available for local sailing for in Marina del Rey, California. Sailing lessons on request. I am an experienced sailor with racing background and the boat has crossed oceans all the way from Finland and the Mediterrenean. The boat has sailed all over the world from including the Bahamas, Baja California and Hawaii. English, Spanish and Italian speaking. Pets must be approved before booking. A perfect day with friends on the water for my birthday. Our Captain was calm and patient. He handled the sailboat whilst climbing over us flawlessly. Also, the sail boat is beautiful and has character. I will definitely book with him again if I get back on the water.

We wound up with Christian as Marina Del Rey's Catalina 22 concessioner is closed on Mondays. Lucky for us. Christian's trans-ocean sailing experience is apparent from the earliest moments of his ship handling, and not that he's trying to broadcast. The price point was excellent. He took the initiative to take pictures and video that he then shared with us. This native Italian, former attorney, current film producer/director spins a modest, fascinating story in his conversation when you draw him out. You would think someone with that background would consume all the oxygen. Post-sail, he followed us all the way to our vehicle in the parking lot. You can read a lot into that. My older sister was quite smitten with him.

Larger groups please contact me before submitting a request. I reccommend not more than 5/6 people to be comfortable. Larger groups calculate an average of $100 per person depending on the total time and time of the day. Same with more hours. if you are interested in just cruising in the marina rather than sailing I can do $100hour with a minimum of 2 hours depending on the time of the day. Saiing is minimum 3 hours. Here is some examples. Price varies. 3 hours for 2 people $400 total (includes fees). 3 hours for 5 people $600/700. 4 hours for 5 people $800. For families with children please ask. Full day is 6 hours Pets must be approved before booking. Captain can decide at any time to cancel sailing trip due to unsafe wind or sea conditions. Thanks and safe winds.
