After it was destroyed during the 14th century, people decided to build fortifications around it and they can still be seen today. Chitry-les-Mines Chitry-les-mines is known for its famous mayor, the writer and author Jules Renard, who lived in the 19th century. Moor here to discover a quiet place where you can relax or enjoy a peaceful walk. Corbigny Corbigny is a wonderful village built around the canal. Discover beautiful buildings built centuries ago. The Saint-Seine church, built in the eleventh century, is a sight worth seeing. Baye A lovely and relaxing place to spend the in the coutryside. Baye is close to the etang, and home to many birds and river borne wildlife. Head to the centre of town and find the pretty fountain Saint-Eloi. There are also beautiful walking paths to explore. Châtillon-en-Bazois Chatillon-en Bazois is the biggest town between Decize and Tannay. The Château de Chatillon, one of the oldest belonging to the Count of Nevers, dates from the 12th century and must have been an impressive fortress. Unfortunately, you can't visit inside. But it is still beautiful to see. Panneçot A leafy and tranquil spot for a relaxing overnight stop. Relax with a drink at the village bar, remembering to put in your bread order for the morning! Cercy-la-Tour In Cercy-La-Tour, visit the old settlement situated on a rocky outcrop 201 meters above the valley. It offers good views over the valleys of the Aron, the Alène, Canne and the Nivernais Canal. Also check out the towers of the castle, dating from the 13th century. Downtown, the Saint-Roman church is one of the oldest in the region. Decize Situated at the junction of the Canal du Nivernais and the Canal Latéral à la Loire, and at the confluence of the Rivers Loire and the Aron, Decize is an interesting town to visit, and is full of history. Walk along the charming winding streets and discover the old fortified walls and the ruins of the Castle Decize. Visit the beautiful church Saint-Aré and marvel at the view over the Loire from the huge old bridge. If You Cancel Your Holiday Cancellation Terms: To cancel a reservation, the Renter should notify the Company in writing. Period before departure in which you notify the Company and Cancellation Penalty: More than 70 days prior to departure date: Deposit is non-refundable Between 70 and 43 days prior to departure date: 45% of the total holiday cost is non-refundable Between 42 and 15 days prior to departure date: 60% of the total holiday cost is non-refundable Between 14 days and departure date: 100% of the total holiday cost is non-refundable If You Change Your Booking If, after our confirmation invoice has been issued, you wish to change your travel arrangements in any way, for example your chosen departure date (in the same season only), destination or boat, we will do our utmost to make these changes but it may not always be possible. Any request for changes to be made must be in writing from the lead name or your travel agent.  The price of your holiday may increase or decrease to reflect the changes requested by you. You will be asked to pay an administration charge of US$140 (more than 70 days prior to departure) or US$250 (between 70 and 15 days prior to departure) per booking amendment and any further cost we incur in making this alteration and any increase in the cost of your trip. Please note that no changes or rescheduling are permitted less than 14 days prior to departure.
