MV Pawara is the flagship of one of Phuket’s best known diving centres. She is a 35m cruise ship, specifically designed for luxury liveaboard trips, although the cost of joining one is much more affordable than many may expect. The staff and crew are among the most established and professional in the region, having been in operation for nearly twenty years. This nice new boat and its cruises are often fully booked due to their repeat custom and from word-of-mouth recommendations. Therefore, booking early makes sense, not only to ensure a place but also to benefit from early-bird discounts at the beginning of each diving season. The excellent reputation is based on service, thorough preparation, and safety. This wonderful liveaboard diving vessel offers its guests wifi and other luxuries in the 10 air-conditioned cabins, each containing queen-size double or twin beds, and en suite bathrooms. The maximum number of guests per trip is just twenty two, some of whom are non-divers and benefit from discount on the cruise price. Nitrox (enriched air) is available for free to divers who are certified to use it. Pawara liveaboard cruises set sail from Khao Lak in the early evening, after collecting the guests from around Phuket and surrounding areas. The 4D/4N cruises start at the Similan Islands, exploring the best diving sites dotted around this pristine archipelago for the first two days and eight dives. On the third day, diving guests are treated to what’s on offer under the surface at Koh Tachai and Richelieu Rock, commonly regarded as the best diving site in Thailand and among the top ten in the world. The fourth and final day you visit Koh Bon in the hope of seeing Manta Rays before returning to land at sunset. Rates: • Master Cabin 34,700 THB • Deluxe Cabin 30,700 THB • Standard Cabin 29,700 THB • Budget Cabin 25,700 THB * Prices are 'per diver' and include Divemaster guide, weights, belts, all meals and insurance. Prices do not include diving equipment rental (if required @ 500 THB/day) or National Marine Park fees (@ 1,600 THB) Non-diving guests receive 3,000 THB discount and 50% off park fees. Nitrox fils are free for certified divers. If you have any questions, we can answer those through GetMyBoat’s messaging platform before you pay. I am excited to be a part of the GetMyBoat movement in making boats more accessible and affordable to others. I hope to get out on the water more and help boating grow.
