The “Raincoast Maiden” is a 53 foot Canoe Cove motor yacht. It is equipped with safety equipment and certified by Transport Canada to carry 23 passengers plus crew. Not only is this type of vessel renowned for its seaworthiness but the “Raincoast Maiden” is also equipped with state-of-the-art hydraulic stabilizers to ensure a safe and comfortable ride. Our tour boat has a full walk around, large upper deck and huge bow which provides plenty of room to change your viewing area at any time. After marveling at the bird’s eye view from the upper deck or riding on the bow with the wind through your hair, enjoy it all from the salon, with 360 degree windows and a coffee in your hands High rails on deck also offer hands-free security while viewing wildlife. ALAN TODDY LANDRYAlan and Toddy Landry, invite you to spend some time with them on their boat, the “Raincoast Maiden”, which is also their home.Alan is a seasoned mariner who has spent more than 30 years fishing commercially all over the West Coast. As someone who has always had a keen interest in history, he will be happy to share his knowledge of the area with you.Toddy left South Africa to travel the world, then as of 1995 found herself married to Alan and fishing shrimp in and around Barkley Sound. With a post graduate degree in marine biology and a long term love for the ocean, the transition to life at sea was an easy one.Although Alan and Toddy enjoyed their years in the fishing business, they discovered that cruising with family and friends, showing off the beauty and wildlife of Barkley Sound, was their favourite experience. This lead to their decision to become full time guides.
