On board ‘Chaisson A Dream’ with Captain and renown multi-instrumentalist and entertainer J.J. Chaisson a.k.a. You will sail out of Souris harbour, drop anchor along PEI’s beautiful red cliff coastline, and relax in a picture perfect setting. It is here that you will enjoy a 2 hour gathering of music, dance, and hands on knowledge of traditional music and the fishing industry of Prince Edward Island. This is the most unique hands-on experience that PEI has to offer! THE BOAT: Chaisson A Dream The Chaisson A Dream is a modern fully equipped fiberglass lobster fishing boat. All modern navigational equipment including sounder, GPS plotters, radar, VHS radios. The Chaisson A Dream was built in 1986 by Provincial Boat Builders in Kensington, PEI as a solid fiberglass 42X9 foot boat. In the winter of 2014, the boat had a complete overhaul and refurbishing at MacPhee’s Custom Marine in Souris, PEI. The boat was lengthened to 45 feet and widened to 13 feet. All brand new fiberglass fuel tanks, fiberglass floor, duel ram steering, rudder, and wash boards. Re-powered with a 350 horsepower Cummins Diesel engine, which pushes the boat at a cruising speed of 17 knots. Sequentially, the appraised age of the boat is 2 years old. Bathroom facility aboard, as well as a Refleks oil furnace which keeps the cabin comfortably warm. Seating for 4-6 people inside the cabin and the convenience of a microwave and coffee maker and beverage coolers. Chaisson A Dream has a top-notch music system equipped with a Kenwood deck, four infinity 6×9 speakers, a Kenwood subwoofer powered by a 400 watt JBL amplifier. LOBSTER LOVERS Curious about PEI Lobster and how we catch and cook it?! Come experience the world-class lobster of North Lake, Prince Edward Island. You will become a fisherman’s helper for the day; leaving the harbour as the sun rises, haul 300 lobster traps, measure lobsters, bait the traps, and set them for tomorrow’s haul. Price: $140 + HST per person 4-Hour Excursion, Max of 4 people PRIVATE CUSTOM TOURS Private Boat Charter! The sky is the limit for this one. You can book the boat for a private sailing for 2 people for that special occasion in your life or book the boat with a max of 12 guests for a wedding party, staff party, family reunion or the perfect backdrop for family photos. RESERVATION POLICY Deposit will be refunded if booking is cancelled 48 hours in advance of sailing. Cancellations less than 48 hours prior to the date of the excursion, or failure to notify us of a cancellation, will result in the full cost of the outing. If weather conditions are a concern for your booking date, you are required to contact us to confirm whether it will be cancelled.
