Charter a "The Genesis Eco" Houseboat in Kerala, India

Enjoy your vacation with your fmily and friends on a houseboat in Kerala, India! Charter a "The Genesis Eco" houseboat for up to 6 people. Rates as low as 8,000 INR per day. The Genesis Eco Houseboat is a 2 bedroom houseboat. The rooms are spacious and has a bath attached with or without aircon. It has a large lounge area and a spotlessly clean kitchen. This boat does not have an upper deck a swimming pool or jaccuzi, like some overdone and ridiculously expensive houseboats. In the evening, the boat house berths in a safe, quiet, beautiful spot with a view of the rice fields to one side and the water on the other. Hardly any other houseboats are in the vicinity there. This is a luxury cruise with one crucial difference. Compared to the luxury yachts or ostentatious cruise liners of the Western world- this great holiday that you are embarking on is eco-friendly. An overnight trip on a houseboat around Alleppey offers tourists a more meaningful, diverse, scenic and enjoyable trip than the never ending dull Alleppey-Kollam 8 hour day-trip motor boat cruise. Even though more expensive, tourists slowly but surely switched to the wonderfully relaxing, all inclusive overnight trip on the ‘Only in Alappuzha’ built houseboat or Rice barge. Each consist on course Frequently Asked Questions: • Does the houseboat run during the monsoon? - Yes, it does. The rain only enhances the beauty of the backwaters. It’s greener and cooler. Harvest season is just after June, July. Onam, Kerala’s main festival season is end August, beginning of September, when there’s still rain. Boat race season starts during the monsoon. If there was no rain, Kerala probably wouldn’t exist, the way it does now, leastways. • How about the mosquitoes? - Yes, there are mosquitoes. About the same as anywhere else in Kerala. On our boat mosquitoes nets are provided. And coils lit in the evenings when its’ peak mozzie time. Add mosquito cream that most tourists carry along with them- and you’re safe enough. No malaria in Kerala anyhow. • Are there off season discounts? - Except for a peak season hike of 20% our tariffs remain the same throughout the year. And in that, it’s probably the only houseboat that does not change. There are 3 tariff options anyway for customers to choose according to their budget. • Is Canoieng/Kayaking a better option to experience the backwaters? - Canoeing is nice but is it a better option? - Yes, for those who cannot afford to do the houseboat cruise. Kerala kayaking? No. Kayaks are great for Europe. In the rustic country side of Alappuzha- it is totally out of place. Want the exercise ? Go for the indigineous canoe.
