Boat Alpha is a 4.75m RIB fitted with a 60Hp Yamaha four stroke outboard petrol engine with electric trim and tilt. 48 litres of fuel is included in your daily rental price. The boat can comfortably seat max 5 people. Boat Alpha is fitted with a sun canopy to give you relief from our blistering African sun, but we recommend sunblock for extra protection. To make your boating experience more personal we have fitted the boat with a bluetooth radio so that you can link your device and enjoy your own music during your trip. What you will experience around the most beautiful Cape Town Coastline is very unique in its marine beauty and splendour! During your cruise with family and friends the chances of bumping into a local celebrity seal is great but you will also see and experience such an abundance of sea life, often pods of whales and dolphins play in the sun, and off course seal island around the corner from Houtbay is just an 1hour cruise away from our launch site in Granger bay. At the Houtbay marina you can hop off and go for a lovely walk and experience the wide range of free loving food at the harbour market. The food is AMAZING! If the sun and beach is more your thing then we suggest cruising around to Clifton beach, dropping the anchor and enjoying your music while sitting at anchor just a swim away from the beach and all the buzz. This is the only mode of transport we recommend using while traveling to Clifton as you skip the queues, don't waste time in traffic and waste precious sun time looking for parking. You will absolutely love the view from the ocean!!!! If the Cape Town area is not on your boating itinerary we can arrange for your boat to be transported to your boating area or any registered launch site in Western Cape - Transport will be an additional cost. Dear fellow Boating Enthusiast, Thank you for your enquiry with us. Please take the time to read through this document. It will explain exactly how to get your boat booked. How to get your boat booking started: Give us your requested dates, preferred boat and required services. We will check boat availability and get back to you. Once we confirm availability please provide us with the below list of required documents. We will issue your invoice once we receive all the required documentation. Full payment secures your booking. Required documents to be provided: Copy of ID (Foreign Visitors – Copy of passport and Entry stamp) Copy of SAMSA Skipper Ticket (Foreign Visitors – Only International Certificate for Operators of Pleasure Craft - ICC recognised in RSA) Proof of Address (Foreign Visitors – Copy of your hotel reservation) Copy of Driver License (In the case of a client towing a boat to an alternative location) Services available: Launching and retrieval service (Additional cost) Delivery and pick up service (Additional cost) Watersport equipment hire (Additional cost) All preliminary bookings will be valid for 2 days only. All invoices generated will be valid for 2 days only. The boat will be made available to other clients if full payment of your rental agreement is not received within the allocated 2 days. Deposits: A deposit of Euro 250 is required to be paid 7 days prior to rental date via EFT or paid on the day of rental via Zapper, Snapscan, credit card/debit card or cash for insurance purposes. When you return the hired boat, trailer, safety equipment, life jackets and accessories in good order, the deposit (ONLY once it reflects in our account) will be refunded, via EFT, within 7 working days after the boat is returned. SURF LAUNCHING AND ENTERING RACE EVENTS WITH OCEAN IMAGE PROPERTY IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. NO COMPLIANCE WILL GRANT PENALTIES THAT WILL RESULT IN THE LOSS OF YOUR DEPOSIT. . Operating hours 08:00am to 18:00pm Boat Collections - from 09:00am to 18:00pm on the date printed on your invoice. Day-Before collections only by prior arrangement and boat availability. All Day-Before collections earlier than 16:00pm will incur an additional day rental. Boat Returns – From 08:00am to 18:00pm on the date printed on your invoice. Day-After returns only by prior arrangement. All Day-After deliveries later than 08:00am will incur an additional day rental. Fuel Policy: On collection of any boat rental, each client will receive the boat with full fuel tanks (Unleaded petrol ONLY) 48 litres are included in the daily rental price. Any petrol over the allotted 48 litres will be charged at Euro 1.25 per litre and will be deducted from the deposit. . Loss or Damage of equipment and use of gravel roads: On the day you collect the boat one of our representatives will explain in full detail our damage payment policy. Please scroll down to reference list. Ocean Image reserves the right of full rental payment if damage was caused to Ocean Image property during any/all part of the rental period. Use of gravel roads are allowed but will incur a cleaning and maintenance Fee of Euro 40. . Poaching & Impounding Policy: Please note that Ocean Image condemns any sort of poaching and you as the client will be held legally and bindingly responsible for all/any costs incurred if you are found guilty of any illegal poaching activities. The client will be held financially accountable in full if one of our vessels are impounded or any fines are incurred; you as the client will also be financially liable in the event that one of our boats are impounded and will be liable to pay, as per your rental agreement, for each day until the boat is returned to Ocean Image. . Launching Fees, Additional Permit Costs and Boat Delivery Charges: The rental day rates do not include any additional launching fees or permit costs that may incur at any particular launch site. If the client is not a member at the specified launch area or boating club, the client will be responsible for the extra charges. In the case of Ocean Image Boat Rentals launching and retrieving a boat for you at Oceana Power Boat Club - Cape Town, an additional charge of Euro 23.00 is charged. Delivery and pick up service (Euro 0.60 per/km) After hour retrievals: will incur a sur charge of Euro 40.00 per hour Fair Weather Policy: Bad Weather on your boating day? Do not panic! If, on the day of you wanting to launch (Cape Town area only) and the weather is not suitable, we will gladly move your booking to an alternative date that suites you best. Prior arrangements are necessary so that we can ensure you have a boat available. . Cancellation/Refund/Unused days: NO REFUND will be made to all cancellations within 7 days of rental. Full refund if cancellation was made more than 7 days before rental. NO REFUND will be made for days not used during your rental period due to unfavourable weather or any reason preventing the use of the boat. .
