Cruise Information All charters on Luz de Luna include bottled water, sodas, an assortment of light snacks (chips, crackers, and cookies), ice, cups and napkins. Guests are allowed to bring any other food or drink they’d like, including alcohol, for no extra charge. Gratuity: Gratuity is not included but it is customary. If you appreciate the service from the captain and crew, you can arrange a gratuity directly with the captain at the end of the cruise. Cash, Zelle, Venmo or PayPal are accepted. A general guideline for a tip is about $7-$10 per person on board per hour. So, if you have a group of 12 people, the suggested gratuity would be $85 - $120 per hour of cruising. All tips are split 50/50 amongst the captain and crew. Marina Location: Safe Harbor Sunroad Marina 955 Harbor Island Drive San Diego, CA 92101 Parking: If street parking is available, you may park there however there is a time limit of 2 hours. Paid parking is available at the marina and recommended so you don’t get a ticket for parking too long in the street parking. The marina parking rate is $7 for the first hour, $5 for every hour after that with a daily maximum of $25. Ride-sharing (Uber & Lyft) or carpooling are good options as well. Checking In: Meet in front of Gate 1, docks A-D 15-30 minutes prior to your scheduled cruise time. Waiting for guests to arrive after your scheduled start time will delay departure and cause you to not get the full cruise time you paid for. Once your ENTIRE group is gathered in the meeting spot, contact the captain and he will meet you at the gate and escort everyone to the docks and into the boat. Toilet: Marine toilets are extremely sensitive. Absolutely DO NOT put toilet paper, feminine products or any other rubbish in the toilets. Only human waste can be flushed. All toilet paper or other trash goes in the wastebasket located next to the toilet. Smoking Policy: Smoking is not allowed on board. Vaping is allowed. Behavior While at the Marina: Please, always maintain respectful behavior while at the docks and throughout the marina as it is private property and it is a privilege to be able to do pickups and dropoffs directly at the marina. If guests are rowdy while transiting through the docks or if they damage marina property, you will be charged for the damages. What is Provided: Ice, soft drinks, bottled water, cups, and light snacks will be provided. Any other food, alcohol and other beverages you’d like to bring on board is up to you. A licensed captain and certified crew member (if needed) will be on board. Blankets are provided and available to use if needed. If anyone in your group is planning on swimming, please be sure they bring their own towel to dry off. Music & Sound System: There is a built-in bluetooth sound system on board with speakers everywhere on the boat. Additionally, there is a portable bluetooth boombox to use on the bow if needed. Shoe Policy: Please, no heels or hard-sole shoes. Only flats, soft-sole shoes/sneakers or sandals/flip-flops are allowed. Bare feet are preferred. There is a shoe bin onboard the boat to put shoes in if you decide to go barefoot. Dark sole shoes will scuff up the deck and interior flooring. Behavior While Onboard: The captain is in charge and should always be respected. Always ask the captain or crew for permission before swimming. Excessive drunk behavior or disorderly conduct including destructive behavior or clogging of toilets due to paper or other products will result in early termination of the event and extra charges related to any damage caused. Throwing Things Overboard: Throwing trash, cigarette butts, or food overboard is against the law. Always dispose of those items in one of the trash cans onboard the boat. Also, please do not feed the birds, seagulls or marine animals.
