What You Can Expect:

Northern Wisconsin

Since the turn of the century, Vilas and Oneida Counties of Northern Wisconsin has been a storied land of legendary fishing. The Minocqua, Arbor Vitae and Woodruff area in Wisconsin has one of the largest concentration of fresh-water lakes in the world, with over 3,200. The area has countless streams and brooks, and is also the headwaters of the two largest river basins in Wisconsin: the Wisconsin River and the Chippewa-Flambeau Systems. All of these waters are teaming with a wonderful variety of sport and panfish.

The Captain's guiding and tournament career began on the Wisconsin River system and the lakes of Vilas and Oneida counties. He has recently moved back to his home waters and will now be guiding full time in Northern Wisconsin. The Captain  specializes in northwoods muskies, walleyes, bass and panfish, but can also accommodate anglers looking for other species such as northern pike and catfish.

The lakes of Vilas and Oneida County are mostly clear lakes with a diversified fisheries. Majority of them have some form of public access, and offer multi-species fishing outings. These accesses range from highly developed Type 1 facilities to difficult to find subdivision or wilderness sites. The area possesses several true wilderness lakes in the northern half along with popular fishing lakes in the southern and western portions. Fishing pressure area and success varies tremendously from lake to lake within area.

The historic musky waters of Northern Wisconsin still harbor some of the finest musky fishing in the country. The region today is comprised with a variety of high density action lakes and low density trophy lakes. Join our Captain on one of the many lakes in Vilas and Oneida counties or on a wilderness Wisconsin River adventure. Whether you are looking for your first musky or a trophy class fish, the thousands of lakes and rivers available are sure to provide the trip of a lifetime.
