Fun on the water in Turks and Caicos with Center Console Boat

Renting from Ahmad was a fantastic experience. Boat was just as described and allowed us to have a wonderful day on the water. Excellent communication and very easy to work with. Will definitely be renting from Ahmad again next time I’m on the island!!

Ahmad was excellent to work with! The rate was fair for the boat - had a small mechanical issue and Ahmad took care of it immediately and got us on the water to enjoy our day... Beautiful location! Great communication and will definitely rent from him again!

We took this boat out yesterday and it was a perfect day! We went to iguana island and Noah’s Ark (excursion boats charge about $150 per person to visit these places). We were able to stay longer because we were on our own schedule. This boat trip made the entire vacation! The Bimini top is actually smaller then the one pictured here… so bring lots of sun screen. And when we arrived the bottled water and ice wasn’t already on the boat, but the dock assistant immediately went to store and picked it up while we were getting our stuff settled. I highly recommend renting Ahmad’s boat!! So much better then spending twice as much money on an excursion!

Great time on the water

We were very disappointed with our boating experience. The boat is owned by a man named Ahmad. In our brief email communication prior to the trip I requested advice on itineraries, and that we were hoping to meet early to get instructions on the boat. We were met at the docks promptly by a man named Shaquille. He was very pleasant, but not helpful, and did not explain the boat's equipment (GPS) or lack there of (motor tilt, depth gauge, radio). On our first island stop, we pulled the boat up to a beach next to other boats. We looked for a motor tilt on the boat only to see that we did not have one. We explored the island and when returning to the boat found our boat’s motor stuck on the ground. Some of the other local boaters were kind enough to help us manually release the motor and lift the boat to get it unstuck. As you can imagine, were were quite hesitant to beach the boat again. An explanation of the manual motor tilt would’ve been critical information for the success of our trip. The advertised photo of the boat is also not accurate. The boat is big enough for about 4 or 5 people, but the sun shade just covers the boat driver. The boat does not come with the bimini as pictured, but a much smaller version. (my guess is a quarter of the size in picture) We never would have rented the boat for 5 hours if we knew there was not some protection from the sun. We decided to cut our trip short after just two hours. We were concerned about running into something or getting stuck again on the beach and not being able to contact help. As I said, we were disappointed with our experience and had envisioned the day being much more enjoyable than it was.
