We are not a boat rental; we are a fully chartered vessel, staffed by a full-time captain and mate. Our vessel is a Coast Guard-inspected (COI) boat, held to a higher standard than your average bareboat charter. Our crew is handpicked by me, Captain Taco. Safety is my top priority, closely followed by ensuring you have an unforgettable time. Our boat features a 20-foot bar in the center, with 11 barstools, plus a large L-shaped couch in the stern. We have a bathroom, boarding ladders both at the bow and stern, and we provide flotation devices—like a paddleboard and large floating raft—perfect for sandbar parties, along with a top-tier Bluetooth sound system. Location is key, and we have the best: we’re docked at the Hilton Marina, just minutes from the sandbar, luxurious homes, and some of the most beautiful canals in Fort Lauderdale. Now, let’s talk about the crew—because who you’re with matters. LoLo, our French captain, knows Fort Lauderdale like the back of her hand—maybe even better than I do! Then there’s Fin, one of our mates. She the bomb grew up here. She’s not only super knowledgeable about the boat, but she’s also a joy to be around—plus, she’s a model on the side, so it’s a real treat to have her on the team. Next, Captain Lou—a wealth of knowledge. He’s been in this business for decades, and his stories and advice are invaluable. Then there’s Eliza—our versatile “switch hitter” captain and mate. He works on both this boat and my fishing boat; he’s young but brings wisdom beyond his years. And of course, there’s me—Captain Taco. I grew up in Fort Lauderdale, swimming in these canals since the early ’70s. I know every corner of the “Venice of America,” and I can show you some truly priceless sights. We keep things transparent—no hidden costs. Our rate is $285 per hour for up to 12 guests, and $60 per person above that, so it averages under $100 per person if you have a group up to 18. We also partner with Get My Boat, who handles the marketing, admin, and bookings—so they take a small cut, but it’s well worth it; they are selective about their partners, and I’m honored to be one of them. Having grown up here in the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s, sometimes I’ll share a few wild stories from back then—believe me, there’s a lot to tell, though some tales are best left untold. But trust me, I’ve been navigating these waters for over 40 years, and I aim to keep you entertained, all while keeping it safe. Of course, alcohol is part of the fun, but my priority is your safety. If I ask you to have water between drinks, it’s for your well-being—please listen. And at the end of the day, after a few drinks and everyone’s ready to head back, I do ask for a 20% gratuity on groups of six or more—it’s how the crew makes a living.
