Rental Location & Destinations This rental is for the Colorado River area between Bullhead City and Laughlin only. Trips to Lake Mohave, Lake Havasu, Needles, Pirates Cove, or the Havasu Gorge are not included unless specifically discussed and agreed to in writing. These destinations require a $150 surcharge due to extra launch fees, travel time, and fuel. They also require a minimum 6-hour rental (Havasu requires a minimum 8-hour rental). These locations are a significant trip from Bullhead, Laughlin, or Avi — you cannot do them in 4 hours. We do not run Havasu trips departing from Bullhead, Laughlin, or Avi. If you want to go to Havasu, we can meet you there. The only exception is an overnight trip, which must be arranged and agreed to in advance. Holiday Weekends: minimum 6-hour rental. Capacity Regulations Vessels have a strict 9-passenger maximum capacity. For capacity purposes, any child over 90 lbs counts as an adult. Federal law requires all children 12 and under to wear a life jacket at all times while on board. Fees The price quoted is your final price for the vessel rental. There are no hidden fees from the owner. Important: The vessel rental fee and the captain fee are two separate charges and will be handled separately. I know it's a pain, but the USCG says it's the way we have to do it. Failure to comply results in trips being canceled and boats being towed. Everyone loses. • Vessel rental rate: $85 per hour. • Captain's fee: Approximately $55 per hour. • Ballpark total: Expect $125 per hour How Booking & Payment Works (Vessel Rental) 1. Choose your date, time, and meeting location. 2. We will send you a rental agreement via email confirming the details. Captain Requirements (Mandatory) Per the vessel owner’s insurance requirements, you are legally required to hire a USCG-licensed captain for the entire rental — regardless of group size. The captain must hold a 25-ton Master license or higher. You may: • Hire from the owner’s pre-approved captain list (sent with your rental agreement), or • Hire a third-party captain (subject to the owner’s insurance approval). If using a third-party captain, you must provide the captain’s name and license/reference number to the owner no later than 96 hours before the rental. No refunds will be issued for failure to comply. Renter Insurance Requirement You must obtain liability insurance for the duration of your rental. This is quick (about 3 minutes), inexpensive (around $15/hour, with lower rates for longer rentals), and mandatory. You will receive a link to complete this once your booking is confirmed. You cannot board the vessel without providing proof of insurance. No exceptions. No refunds will be given if you fail or refuse to obtain the required insurance. Weather and Water Level Policy You are responsible for checking the weather forecast. The vessel owner does not offer refunds for wind, rain, or weather conditions you don’t like. Summer temperatures here regularly exceed 110°F — many guests actually enjoy it when it rains on the river. We do not offer refunds for low water unless we can't physically get the boat in the water due to low water. We don't control the water level of the river, and can not tell you with 100% accuracy if the river will be low or full of water on the day of your rental. We get a water report 6 days in advance. But even that is not guaranteed. The Bureau of Reclamation controls the water level. They change it at the last minute very often. This affects trips during the week more than it does the weekend. Sorry for any inconvenience. Amenities • BBQ Grill: Available with any rental of 4+ hours. No extra charge. Captains are happy to cook (carne asada, steaks, burgers, etc.). • Shade: Double Bimini top for maximum coverage. • Music: Premium sound system with Spotify (you control it) or Bluetooth connection for your own device. • Toys: Inflatable water toys available upon request at booking. • DEET Restriction: Products containing DEET are strictly prohibited on board. You will be held financially responsible for any damage to vinyl or surfaces. Tow Tubing Tubing is not included or guaranteed. For safety reasons, the Captain has final say. If there is tubing, it will not be for the majority of the trip. Tubing will be limited to 1 hour per rental. If you need more Tubing time, it must be prearranged. There will be a surcharge. Absolutely no Tubing on holiday weekends. Food & Beverages (BYOB) This is a strictly BYOB experience. No food, beverages, or supplies are provided by the owner or captain (Coast Guard regulations prohibit it). Bring your own cooler. If you need an extra cooler, notify us in advance, and we’ll provide one. Pickup & On-the-Water Experience Be punctual. The clock starts at the  time you booked. Not when you get to the boat. No exceptions. Pickup is available at multiple docks along the river, including private Airbnb docks. If you’re staying at a casino or property without direct water access, your captain will arrange a convenient meetup spot with free public parking. Once on the water, the itinerary is completely up to you. Your captain knows the best beaches and spots for sightseeing, floating, swimming, or relaxing. When you charter the vessel, it’s yours exclusively for the day. Final Note Once booked, you’ll receive a link to sign two agreements: • Boat Rental Agreement (between you and the vessel owner) • Captain Service Agreement (between you and your chosen captain) Local captains are looking forward to hosting you.
