About This Boat

Excursion to Hua Hum

We set sail from the dock in San Martin de los Andes, Puerto Lacar, and enjoyed the scenery while the guide explains how the Lacar lake and surrounding mountains formed. We sail against the towering walls of Cerro Abanico to reach Quila Quina, a mountain village, where we can see Mapuche artisans, walk the beaches and enjoy a resto-bar by the lake.
Continuing the journey will pass in front of the hill where we will see caves Vizcacha water-borne and will continue to travel to the port of Chachin will descend for a short walk through the woods to the waterfall Chachin; and then continue sailing to the port of Hua Hum, at the west end of the lake, bordering Chile.

Now back to San Martin de los Andes we disembark at Santa Teresita Island, off the beaches Quechuquina where we will walk to the Chapel of St. Therese of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face.

Leaving behind the beaches and Yuco Quechuquina arrive at Puerto San Martin de los Andes with the last rays of the sun.

Transfers to Quila Quina

Quila Quina is a mountain village, which sits on a peninsula surrounded by mountains and lake; wide beaches are ideal for spring and summer instead, you can also perform water sports, hiking, horseback riding and visit the Mapuche artisans fair.
During the autumn forests and hills that surround it are stained red, ocher and yellow; and the silence of the village in the winter invites to a pleasant rest.
