This isn't your typical sailboat outing. This unique boat offers a hip esthetic you will not find anywhere else. Funky wallpaper, cozy cockpit, great music, informative yet entertaining captain (that will do her best to give you the experience you have concocted in your imagination). Enjoy the best of Portland's waterfront by boat and tour the bridges from the water. We'll set sail on the Willamette River from Willamette Sailing Club in the Johns Landing area. We will make our way under the bridges and along the waterfront. Wind or no wind, the views are spectacular. What if it rains? Well, it is the Pacific Northwest. You might not own an umbrella but I'm willing to bet you have a rain jacket. Also, I have an extensive collection of foul weather gear in all sizes to ensure no passengers get too soggy. But I am open to rescheduling as well. What if there isn't any wind? Well, then you can properly style your hair and not worry about it getting messed up! Also, we can anchor, we can motor along the waterfront or around Ross Island, just being on a boat on the river is an experience in itself. We've got options. What if there is too much wind? This is actually a thing. Nobody wants their snack board blowing overboard. We'll work together to figure out a mutually beneficial alternative. So what are you waiting for?! Book Ohnoshe, a Buccaneer 220 sailboat, for up to 4 people. 2 hour minimum booking. Cheers, Captain Jenn Pro Tip: The likelihood of a same-day booking request being accepted is possible but not very probable. The more time we have to prepare, the better your experience will be.
Hey there! I'm Captain Jenn. I initially got the sailing bug in 2010 and decided to make it my profession in 2014. I am a licensed USCG Captain (50t Master), Certified Sailing Instructor, and avid racer. I've sailed up and down local rivers and coastlines, back and forth across the Pacific, throughout various island chains, and yet, sometimes I don't even leave the dock. As much as I love open water sailing, the Columbia and Willamette Rivers are home and I've learned how to maximize time spent on both. But while we're sailing Ohnoshe together, it isn't about what I know or where I've been. It's about whatever experience you want to create. Want to sit back and relax while I pull the strings and make the sail thingies do stuff? Perfect. Or perhaps you are intrigued by the mechanics of sailing and want to expand your understanding by working together to sail the boat? Either way, I will do my best to make your vision a reality.
You’ll get directions to the departure location when you make a booking.
Full refund up to 3 days prior.

If I could control the weather, I would have to charge a lot more! Don't worry, there is plenty of fun to be had regardless of weather conditions. - If the forecast calls for more than 15k of wind, we will reschedule without refund. This is typically about the velocity of wind in which your snacks don't want to stay on the plates and your wine doesn't want to stay in its glass. Happy to answer any additional questions. This is an inclusive sailing adventure and all folx with open hearts and minds are welcome. If that's not you, than I hope you find the adventure you are looking for elsewhere. Look forward to getting you out on the water! Captain Jenn
