Charter this Canal Boat for your event/party for up to 10 people, for £200 per hour with a half day minimum booking. Galatée is captained by her owner, Simon. Galatée is a traditional widebeam narrow-boat with a wheelhouse and bow deck and ample seating. It is our home, bright and airy, and well decorated with a spacious living area. There is a large dining table and all modern conveniences. Explore the history and contemporary reality of living, working and playing on Regent’s Canal, a peaceful haven steeped in historical and environmental interest that passes through some of the capital’s trendiest neighbourhoods. Sample a piece of what life is like on the canal, see how narrow-boats work, experience going through locks, witness old and modern London from a different perspective. We can serve food and alcohol; Simon is an excellent chef and can prepare anything from a buffet to a cream tea or a multi-course meal with wine. Examples of trip: - Visit the fascinating Canal Museum near Kings Cross for preliminary insights. Sail west to the new vibrant Granary Square plaza, formerly a busy shipping port, with old canal buildings now given an outstanding 21st century makeover. Chug on through locks, past gasholders, and moor up at world famous, bustling Camden Market - Continue on towards Little Venice, London zoo and Regent's Park. - Sail east through the Islington tunnel (almost 900m long, built in 1818) to Broadway market and Victoria Park. Some sailing possibilities differ according to the time of year. We look forward to welcoming you on board Galatée!
