Enjoy San Diego by boat! Charter a 40' Trawler Hershine BellBuoy for up to 6 people. Rates as low as $150 per hour, 6 hours minimum. We are San Diego’s Premiere Sportfishing Six Pack Charter. With over 29 years of experience in San Diego saltwater fishing, Nathan and his knowledgeable & friendly crew will use their expertise on seasonal bites and the best “hotspots” off of San Diego and Mexican waters to give you the best possible trip. Our vessel is a 40' Full Walk Around Vessel with two staterooms, full galley, large salon, two heads w shower, state-of-the-art fishing gear and electronics and is US Coast Guard approved and USCG Auxillary inspected. The Long Run is a very spacious and comfortable vessel. The crew members both have 30+ years in the industry fishing local waters so a lot of experience and hands on instruction is available as needed. We specialize in custom, private and semi-private fishing trips as short as 1/2 day (6 hours to 2 days) Each trip will be tailored to the season’s bite and what you want to catch. Overnight trips target Albacore, Yellowtail, Yellowfin Tuna, Bluefin Tuna, Dorado, Sharks, and Marlin during the warmer months. Shorter, half day 6 hour and 3/4 day 15 hour trips often target San Diego’s Yellowtail, Bonito, Barracuda, or bottom fish such as Ling Cod, Sculpin, Sand Bass, and Halibut. Just outside San Diego Harbor we can find Rock fish, Kelp fish, and much more. If shark fishing is something you’re interested in, San Diego waters have a great deal to offer anglers in search of that special catch. March – November is the season to catch Mako and Thresher sharks to 1000 pounds! We are large proponents of responsible shark fishing & conserving a healthy shark population in San Diego. Sharks can produce only a few offspring per year making overfishing a concern, particularly with Longliners of the coast of Southern California. We strongly advocate catch and release, and do our best to preserve sharks under 80 pounds and  over 140 pounds. In addition we try to take only males as an added effort to preserve these fascinating creatures and ensure that there is a healthy shark population in San Diego for years to come. Our vision is to preserve the future of sport fishing for future generations by respecting this spectacular resource. Charter Fishing San Diego Our crew is very helpful and accommodating. We are here to make sure that you have the best experience while out to sea. We provide all the fishing gear you need for the type of fish we target and will help you at any time if you so desire.  We do all the filleting and cleaning of the fish so that you can relax or sleep on the way home. We are veteran fishermen and women but love to introduce the sport to newcomers. Our captain Nate has over 24 years of experience fishing local waters and locating proven locations for the best bites possible. He will do his best to make sure that you have the best day of fishing while aboard “The Long Run”. What To Bring Feel free to bring whatever gear and supplies you want including fishing tackle, ice chests, additional food and/or beverages. We ask that each fisherman brings 10 lbs of ice for trips under 12 hours and 20# of ice for trips 12 or more hours to cool down the catch. It is also recommended to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, hats, bathing suits, towels, dark colored or older clothes, a jacket, and sea sick medication if you need it. If we are fishing in Mexican waters you will need Mexican fishing permits; which are available at all landings in Point Loma (i.e. Fisherman’s Landing, Angler’s Choice, Hook Line and Sinker, etc).  You will need a US fishing license if fishing in US waters. You can expect a great day of fishing with a fun and knowledgeable crew.
