Please take a moment to review the following key policies that help us deliver a seamless journey on the water: 📍 Arrival & Boarding To ensure a stress-free start to your experience: - Please arrive at the marina 30 minutes before your scheduled departure. This buffer allows for check-in and accounts for NYC traffic or transit delays. - We kindly ask that your full group is present before we can escort you down to the dock. - Because we often have back-to-back bookings, late arrivals may result in shortened charter time, and we may not be able to extend your trip beyond the scheduled end. 🕒 Late Arrivals & No-Shows Charters begin promptly at the reserved time. - If your group is late, the charter will still end as scheduled. - No-shows or guest cancellations at departure time are non-refundable. We always recommend building in extra travel time to ensure a smooth start! 🍽️ Food & Beverage You’re welcome to bring food and drinks onboard! - We suggest “easy to enjoy” options like finger foods and snacks. - Please avoid cherries, berries, peanuts (or anything with a shell!) and staining foods or drinks — extra cleaning fees may apply if spills occur. - Alcohol is permitted (BYOB). - Liberty Pearl has a mini fridge and coolers for your use. - Ice is available with 24 hours’ notice. - Due to insurance regulations, we are unable to serve bottled water. 🚻 Restroom Access A bathroom is available on Liberty Pearl, though for convenience, we recommend using the marina or public restrooms near Fornino Pizza at Pier 6 before boarding, especially for larger groups. ⚓ Safety & Conduct - Life jackets are onboard and required for all children under 12 and any non-swimmers. - Guests are expected to follow captain or crew instructions at all times. - Disruptive or unsafe behavior may result in the early end of the charter without refund. Your safety and enjoyment are our top priorities! ⛵*Planning Ahead, What to Expect* - While we strive to operate exactly as scheduled and do so 95% of the time, charter times may *occasionally/rarely* shift slightly to accommodate scheduling logistics or special guest circumstances. We kindly ask that you allow for no more than one-hour flexibility window, just in case. These adjustments are extremely RARE, but your understanding helps us provide the best possible experience for everyone on board. For example, one day we had a guest planning a proposal, but they arrived late—so we adjusted the schedule slightly to make sure he still had time to propose! - Fuel is a flat $25 and is paid separately at the dock. Since this is a bareboat charter, collecting fuel payment separately is part of our insurance and regulatory compliance requirements! 🚭 Onboard Etiquette To protect the boat and ensure comfort for everyone: - Smoking and vaping are not permitted onboard. - Please avoid red wine, confetti, glitter, ballons and anything that could stain or damage the vessel. - We follow a shoeless policy — all shoes must be removed during boarding. The deck may be damp from rinsing between charters, so plan your footwear accordingly. ⛅ Weather Policy We sail only when conditions are safe. - If a Small Craft Advisory is in effect, your trip will be rescheduled for the next available day. - If the captain deems conditions unfavorable (even without an official advisory), you may reschedule within 12 months. - Refunds are not guaranteed, but we do review on a case-by-case basis. 👨‍✈️ Bareboat Charter Guidelines For bareboat charters, U.S. Coast Guard regulations and our insurance require that the charterer is responsible for hiring and compensating a qualified captain. To make this process easy, we provide a list of pre-vetted, insured captains who are familiar with our vessel. - Once you confirm your choice, you will contract directly with the captain, and they will be paid independently from your charter fee. - These captains are not employees. This ensures we stay fully compliant with maritime laws. We can’t wait to welcome you aboard!!
