This small port is not far from Barcelona, which takes roughly 2-hours. Offering the opportunity to have lunch in this little ocean port, you will find nice little restaurants for every budget. Stroll down the marina and take in the beautiful coastline. After lunch, we set sail back to Barcelona. This day trip allows you to be a sailor for the day, cruising from port to port along the coast. Feel free to bring your own food & drinks. Samba is a regatta sailboat, 9.54 meters long and 2,92 meters wide at the beam. In excellent condition and well suited to sail along the coast of Barcelona, she needs very little wind. I have been sailing since I was 10 years old and I “worked” for my first sailing course: cooking three days for the family. I wanted to become a skipper and soon I sailed on many boats from dingies to 60 ft boats, short races and long distance cruising to, for example, the Azores. I have skippered over 20 years and still enjoy every time seeing the coastline from a boat. A few years ago I set sail with two other sailors on a 4000 mile sailing journey across the Atlantic. It was a feeling of freedom I had never experienced before, which made me decide to fulfill my dreams now and not later. I quit my job to start a company in alternative energies and to write books for children in a way that is helpful for them and their parents. Barcelona has been good for me both projects go well and the only reason that I started sailing with friends and quests is because of my dream to be more on the water and less in the office.

Booking - Make a booking up to 1 day before your tour date, for all tours up to 9 passengers. Good Weather Guarantee Bad weather is so rare in Barcelona that we are happy to offer the option of cancelling (with full refund of your deposit) or re-scheduling your sail trip right up to the last minute. And we don’t just mean if the weather is dangerous. If it’s raining, if it’s cloudy, if it’s overcast, if it’s too cold, and you just would rather not go, as long as you contact us before the departure time we will be happy to offer a refund of your deposit or a re-scheduling of your trip. Cancellations and refunds It’s very simple. We refund your deposit in full if; the sailing day has to be cancelled by us (e.g. due to dangerously bad weather), or you cancel at least 2 days before we sail. Pick up location: Samba is based in Port Olimpic, Barcelona. The easiest way to get to Port Olimpic is on the metro (station Ciutadella/Vila Olimpica, on the yellow line – line 4), or by walking along the Barcelona beach. When you reach Port Olympic, you need to come to the side of the port that is nearest to Barceloneta. The best landmark is the two towers (Mapfre and Hotel Arts) – that’s the correct side of the port. You enter the port by sloping down along on the side walk next to the car lane, walk straight ahead, keep the boat on your right hand side walk 150 meter straight, turn right, walk 150 and turn right again, walk towards the gas station. There you will find doc number 5. I will be at the entrance waiting for you. It is a 6 minute walk.
