Depart directly from Kardamena Beach safely up to Kefalos, discovering secluded coves, turquoise waters, and peaceful beaches along the way. No license or previous experience is required. Before departure, our team provides clear instructions and a short safety briefing, so you can enjoy your trip with confidence and peace of mind. For a 3 hours Rental the cost of fuel ranges from €30 to €50, depending of the number of the passengers on board and weather conditions. Rented Motorboats & Speedboats (In accordance with Greek Port Police Regulations & Greek Maritime Law) By proceeding with this booking, I, the Renter / Lessee / Captain / Operator, hereby declare that I have read, understood, and fully accept the following terms and conditions, which are governed by Greek legislation and the regulations of the Hellenic Coast Guard. 1. Responsibility of the Captain / Operator The captain/operator of the rented motorboat or speedboat assumes full responsibility and all obligations arising from applicable Greek legislation regarding the management, navigation, and operation of vessels, as defined in Article 3 of Public Maritime Law. Our company bears no responsibility for the operation, navigation, or management of the vessel during the rental period. The operator is solely responsible for compliance with all provisions relating to: • Vessel movement and circulation • Anchoring • General vessel management 2. Passenger Restrictions & Alcohol Policy • Boarding of persons under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or toxic substances is strictly prohibited. • Boarding of persons with serious psychological or physical conditions that may endanger safety is prohibited. • Alcohol consumption is strictly forbidden for: The captain/operator The second designated driver (adult, minimum age 23) 3. Capacity & Passenger Conduct • The maximum number of persons allowed on board is six (6), as stated in the vessel’s seaworthiness certificate. • In special cases, seven (7) persons are permitted only if there are six (6) adults and one (1) child. • Standing or sitting on the vessel’s handrails is strictly prohibited. Parent/guardian confirmation for minors: By signing this agreement, parents or guardians responsibly confirm that all minors on board are able to swim and give permission for their participation in the activity. • If any minor or adult cannot swim, this must be communicated to Central Watersports Kardamena prior to boarding, so that a lifejacket can be provided and worn. • The captain must operate the vessel with due care, vigilance, and diligence, ensuring: • Safe navigation • Passenger protection • Prevention of marine and coastal pollution 4. Required Documents & Safety Equipment The following documents must be carried on board at all times and presented upon request to any competent Coast Guard officer: • Original vessel seaworthiness certificate & copy of the boat rental license • Copy of the insurance policy (provided by the company) • Copy of the rental agreement • Translated guide for boat handling and regulations The vessel must be equipped with all legally required safety equipment, which must be: • In proper working condition • Within valid expiration dates • Ready for immediate use 5. Compliance with Port Authority Regulations The operator must comply with all port regulations, decisions, orders, and instructions issued by the competent Coast Guard Authority, including but not limited to: • Anchoring regulations • Navigation restrictions • Temporary or permanent movement prohibitions • Quiet hours or special operational limitations In the event of an accident involving another vessel or any person, the operator is legally obligated to: • Remain at the scene • Provide all possible assistance • Immediately contact the business owners and report the incident to the local Coast Guard Authority 6. Navigation Distance Rules The renter must maintain a minimum distance of 300 meters from: • Floating buoy lines • Coastlines and crowded beaches • Designated swimming areas where buoy lines are absent • Reefs, rocky areas, other watersports centers, and jet skis Anchoring is strictly prohibited: • In front of watersports corridors • Among swimmers (less than 200 meters from shore) • Inside harbors or high-traffic areas Our company monitors all vessels via tracking systems and can send alerts if a boat approaches hazardous areas, such as reefs or shallow waters. Please note that operator should not rely solely on alerts or notifications to avoid hazardous areas. Prior to the rental, our instructors will clearly explain which areas are considered unsafe, and all such areas will be clearly marked on the map. The captain is expected to remain attentive at all times and proactively avoid these areas in order to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. 7. Vessel Condition & Renter Responsibility The renter confirms that the vessel was received in excellent condition, fully seaworthy, and suitable for its intended use. The renter is fully responsible for: • The safety and supervision of all passengers • The vessel and all onboard equipment The company bears no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings. Any lost or damaged equipment must be fully compensated by the renter. 8. Insurance & Damage Liability The vessel is insured for bodily injury and third-party property damage, as required by Greek law. However: • The renter is liable for the first €700 of any damage to the vessel • Damage caused by collision with rocks is not fully covered by insurance • Injuries involving swimmers are only partially covered By participating in this activity, I hereby release, indemnify, and hold harmless Central Watersports Kardamena, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims arising from injury, illness, disability, death, or loss or damage to personal property. 9. Security Deposit On the day of the activity, a refundable security deposit of €200 will be: • Pre-authorized (blocked, not charged) on a credit/debit card, Or • Paid in cash The deposit may be partially or fully retained in cases including but not limited to: • Scratches or damage to the hull or engine • Damage to the propeller or protective components • Collision with rocks • Loss or damage of equipment (anchor, accessories, etc.) If damage exceeds the deposit amount, the renter agrees to fully compensate the company for repair or replacement costs. 10. Behavior & Termination of Rental The activity may be cancelled or terminated without refund in cases of: • Inappropriate, aggressive, or arrogant behavior • Failure to follow instructions • Dangerous maneuvers or unsafe conduct (e.g. speeding in swimming areas) Early return of the vessel does not entitle the renter to any refund. Delays exceeding 15 minutes will result in an additional charge. 11. Passenger Safety & Supervision The captain is fully responsible for passenger safety, particularly when children, elderly persons, or individuals with special needs are on board. After anchoring, the vessel must not be left unattended. Passengers must not pull, misuse, or damage the Bimini top or other fragile components. When reboarding, passengers must use the inox rails and ladder. 12. Inspection & Acceptance Prior to the rental, the vessel’s condition is documented with photos and videos by the company. After the rental, the vessel will be jointly inspected by the renter and the owner. 13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction This agreement is governed by Greek Law. Any dispute arising between our company and the renter shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Greece. 14. Weather Policy One day prior to the scheduled rental, the company assesses weather conditions to determine whether the rental can be safely carried out. In cases of extreme or unsafe weather conditions, the company reserves the right to postpone the rental, always in consultation and agreement with the customer. In the event that weather conditions change or deteriorate during the rental period, customers may be asked or may choose to return the vessel safely to the base. In such cases, and subject to availability, we are pleased to offer the remaining rental time as a second half-day rental on another date, at no additional charge. If customers choose not to proceed with this alternative arrangement, no partial refund will be provided, as early return due to weather conditions is not considered a pre-scheduled cancellation. This policy is designed to prioritize safety while offering a fair and flexible solution whenever possible. For cancellations within the 5 days window, customers will receive 50% of the initial payment. Customers will also receive a full refund or credit in the event of cancellation by operators due to extreme weather conditions . In case of extreme weather conditions , the company may also propose to reschedule the activity. It’s up to the Client to accept or refuse such changes. If the Client cannot attend the new proposed date, then she/he will be entitled to full reimbursement.
