About This Sleep Aboard Boat

Imagine cruising around Kawthoung, Myanmar! Charter a 51 ft Lagoon 500 "Meltemi" Cruising Catamaran for up to 8 people. Rates as low as $2,670 USD per night.

Meltemi is named after a wind in the Mediterranean Sea. Meltemi is our first catamaran: a French-built Lagoon 500, one of the most successful yachts ever designed for high-end charter.

Meltemi's previous owner was a Malay princess. In 2015, Meltemi joined Burma Boating's fleet for private charters and our Luxury Sailing Adventure cruises in Myanmar's Mergui Archipelago. Meltemi is easy to sail, all winches are electric and can be fully controlled from the large flybridge.

Meltemi is a great yacht for groups of friends or families and there is lots of space to play or lounge. When under sail, most guests just love to lie in the nets at the bow with the water splashing below.

Meltemi has 4 comfortable guest cabins, each with king-sized beds, en-suite bathrooms and separate air-conditioning. The spacious owner's suite in the starboard hull has its own couch area and a large bathroom (or head, as they are called on boats).

Meltemi bright, wooden interior gives a generous and modern feeling. Cabins are accessed through the central saloon, where the open kitchen (or galley) and the navigation station are located.

Yacht is well equipped with 3 large fridges, an oven, a microwave, a water maker, sound and video entertainment systems, warm and cold water, etc.

• Do I need to know how to sail?

  • No. Our experienced crew can do all the sailing for you while you relax. If you like, our crew can involve you and teach you sailing basics.

• Can I sail myself?

  • Absolutely. You can get as involved as you like. From navigating to setting sails and steering the boat – you or your entire group can crew the ship. If you have enough sailing experience, you can even be the skipper.

• Where will we sail?

  • That depends on your wishes, but our main cruising area is the Mergui Archipelago in Myanmar’s south. Beyond that, we are open to any suggestions and ideas.

• How do I get there?
